Welcome to the 2014-15 Season!  

We are looking forward to the upcoming Ski Challenge season!  Ski Challenge will be celebrating its 30th season!!!! We hope to see you all back on the slopes for this exciting year!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

REGISTRATION
Registration is now open to everyone.  Captains can register to hold existing team spots.  Individuals can register and pay for regular and pre-season.  Prices go up after October 31.  Follow this link for more information:  REGISTRATION 

WAIVERS/LIABILITY FORMS
For this season we are requiring everyone to fill out a waiver online.  We are going to try and avoid paper waivers.  Please go here for more information and to see who has filled out one for this season:  LIABILITY FORMS

CALENDAR
Our Calendar of events shows information for every Ski Challenge event for the season.  Buck Hill Saturday and Sunday AM have some schedule changes so please make sure you check it out.  Follow this link for more information: CALENDAR

CAPTAIN INFORMATION
Captains should have received an e-mail telling them how to register their team and hold their team spot.  For more information follow this link:  CAPTAIN INFO

ROSTERS AND RUNNING ORDERS
Current rosters and running orders are posted online.  Our new website allows you to search your name on a particular league to see if you have paid, t-shirt size, and if you have filled out a waiver or not.  For more information follow this link:  ROSTERS AND RUNNING ORDERS

MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR KIDS
Kids are welcome to participate in our "All Age" and "Adult + Kids" leagues.  For Wild Mountain Sunday PM we will be holding all seven races on Expressway this coming season.  If you have a kid who wants to race on Wild, they can join the Sunday AM and/or Sunday Day league.  Kids are also welcome to join Buck Sunday AM and Buck Sunday PM.  For more information on this and league descriptions follow this link:  LEAGUE DESCRIPTIONS

TRY-IT

HYLAND WEDNESDAY
Due to Hyland's construction of their new base area, we will not be having a Ski Challenge league there this upcoming season.  We will be regrouping in 2016 and plan on having an Adult + Kids league.  Stay Tuned!

  • This is the 18th season Barb and Dave have run it
  • Ski Challenge started in 1985 with about 35 participants
  • No, we don't get a free car - we lease it
  • Our number of racer visits at Buck Hill actually was up last year from the previous year.
  • The average temp in the Twin Cities from December through February is 18.7 degrees
  • Last year the average temp was 9.7 degrees
  • We are hoping we are closer to the average this coming season!
  • Our average age of participants last year was 43
  • We had 26% Female / 74% Male participants
  • 63% of our racers take trips outside of Minnesota at least one time per year.
  • The most popular ski purchased in 2013-14 was Atomic
  • The most popular boot purchased was Lange
  • 96% of our participants wear helmets.  Not sure what the other 4% are thinking.......
  • 67% of our racers wear GS suits - Spyder is the most popular brand.
  • Subaru was the second most purchased brand of vehicle purchased last season by our racers.
