FOLLOW THE DOTS TO FUN

SHOP HOP 2015

Hope you're already planning to join us from April 9th to 19th, 2015 as we all Follow the Dots to Fun. Shop Hop bags are available for pre-order for only $15! This year, as part of our theme, the bag will come with a special 3" button for you to pin onto your polka dot bag. You can see them in the picture below! Then as you travel from shop to shop, you will be given a smaller pin to attach to your bag if you wish. Each shop will have their own pin and you'll want to collect them all! Stop in and reserve your bag so that you don't miss a minute of the fun during Shop Hop 2015!

BATIK BLOCK

of the MONTH

      OR

SATURDAY SAMPLER

This quilt can be purchased one of two different ways. The 8 blocks around the center medallion are available as a Saturday Sampler. Pay $5 for the first block and bring it back finished at 10 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday of the next month to receive the next block kit free. At the end of 8 months you will have the eight finished blocks to set any way you please. Your other option is to sign up for the entire quilt - 103" square - for only $17 per month for 12 months. You will get the fabric for the entire top and the binding with the pattern. Either way, you'll have beautiful batiks to sew into a great quilt! The fabric is on the way and we plan to start the Saturday Sampler on February 21st.
If you'd like to make the entire quilt, you may pick up your kit any day of the month - you don't have to wait until the 3rd Saturday! These kits will be available starting March 1st.
Decide which option you'd like to choose and call or stop in this week to sign up.

GALLERY HAPPENINGS

This month our Gallery features quilts made by members of the Prairie Pioneer Quilters of Grand Island, Nebraska. They meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church and would welcome you at their next meeting. This beautiful quilt is the Guild's Raffle Quilt. It was made using the Wing and A Prayer Tonga Block of the Month pattern and Daiwabo fabrics in shades of grey and purple. It is gorgeous! We have tickets available for $1 each at the register. SEW & TELL

Lots of sew and tell to share this week!

This cute quilt was made by Norma Smith for a lucky baby! The colors are bright and happy and I'm sure the baby and his mom will be delighted! How fun, Norma!

The quilt at right was made by Cindy Goff using the blocks from the 2015 Saturday Sampler. She added sashing and corner stars along with an outer border. It's very different than the original pattern but it's turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing it with us Cindy.

This bright Block of the Month was brought in by Becky Lamphier from Boleus, Nebraska. (sorry if something is misspelled, my phone corrects me even when I don't want it to) The traditional  blocks made with these modern brights just pop! The outer border done in shades of orange picks up the orange pieces in the center and is just so much fun! What a great quilt Becky!

Brenda Glunz brought in this quilt she was working on for a wedding this summer. She sent fabric to various members of the two families and asked them to make a block and return it to her. Brenda took the blocks and embroidered the maker's name on the sashing section below each block. What a spectacular wedding gift. I'm sure they'll love it Brenda.

We love Sew & Tell! Please bring your completed projects in so we can enjoy them and share with all the other quilters who like to see finished quilts - even if they belong to someone else! Looking forward to seeing your next one!

What a great idea for a Valentine gift!
