Theme
Drink Local. Eat Local. Support Local.

Event Sponsor

We are returning to the beautiful local winery, Great Frogs, for a fabulous evening of great wine, great food, and great company... all with a local flair. We are to celebrating the upcoming Buy Local Challenge Week (July 23-31). Hence our theme: Drink Local. Eat Local. Support Local. With regard to wine, you can't get much more local than Great Frogs Winery. It's Annapolis' only winery... located in a bucolic location - just off Forest Drive - that makes one forget it's only minutes from downtown.

Why is support of our local businesses and agriculture important? Read more.

Wine Tasting

An all-inclusive night awaits Green Drinkers. Admission to our event is $25, and that includes not only a tasting of Great Frogs' terrific wines, but also a fabulous farm to table, organic, light appetizers buffet from La Prima Food Group, known for its award-winning catered events with environmentally friendly fare.

The wine tasting consists of seven Premium Wines, finishing with a full glass of your choice and souvenir glass! $25 is the usual cost per person for Great Frogs tastings (without food) so this is a great value.

Winemakers Nate and Andrea O'Shea will donate a portion of the $25 charge back to Annapolis Green!

The O'Sheas have been incredibly generous to Annapolis Green. We not only got the idea for our stave wall from theirs -- you'll see it in the tasting room -- they donated the staves we had engraved and, very importantly, the work of their expert carpenter to install them at the Annapolis Green House. We are very grateful for their continued support. Read more.

Great Frogs will offer additional wine for sale by the glass or by the bottle at the beautiful, country tasting barn.

Event Sponsor

Our event is sponsored by Blades of Green True Organic lawn & pest control. The local company demonstrates that you can keep your yard beautiful AND your family safe from pests without poisoning the Earth. Blades of Green is a locally owned and operated lawn care and pest control company in the Annapolis area that has been servicing homes and businesses for over 25 years and is our newest Founding One Hundred supporter!

Great Food - Organic Farm to Table!

Our light appetizers buffet will be provided by La Prima Food Group of College Park and most of the ingredients are, literally, "grown to order." Join us and enjoy true farm-to-table taste. La Prima's partner is the USDA Organic-Certified Groundworks Farm in Pittsville and some of the food we will enjoy on July 11 is being grown there right now. Read more.

No dogs, please. Let Great Frogs' vineyard dogs rule the roost!

Annapolis Rotary Crab Feast
A ZERO-Waste Event
Friday, August 5
Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
5 - 8 p.m.
sponsors & volunteers needed for composting & recycling

Would you like to be part of the biggest ZERO-Waste event in our area? Make a difference by joining Rotarians and Annapolis Green as a volunteer to help 2500 hungry crab feasters do the right thing by recycling & composting tons (Really, tons!) at this iconic event, now in its 71st year! In exchange you'll get to eat crabs, corn on the cob, watermelon, and more... and you'll have a great time too. Contact us to volunteer.

At the 71st Annual Annapolis Rotary Crab Feast we'll make sure that shells, watermelon rinds, corn cobs, trays, cups, and paper goods are collected and composted. Within two months that waste material will turn into beautiful, sweet-smelling compost ready to make gardens beautiful! Beverage containers will be recycled and nothing will go to the landfill.

We are also seeking companies that want to associate their brands with our REF composting and recycling effort. Contact us for more information.

Annapolis Green is now a
One Percent for the Planet Charity Partner!

We are thrilled to announce that we've joined 1% for the Planet, an alliance of more than 1,000 member companies in 40 countries that give one percent of revenues to environmental causes.

There are nine member companies in Maryland, including Founding One Hundred supporter Boatyard Bar & Grill. Thank you to owner Dick Franyo for connecting us with 1% for the Planet!
