Theme: Biking & Boating Around the Bay
We're going to focus on bicycling as a great and Green way to explore Chesapeake Country. May is National Bike Month, to showcase the many benefits of bicycling - and encourage more folks to give biking a try.
We're also going to focus on Green boating activities including Greening of regattas and their shoreside parties. For example, folks from the Leukemia Cup regatta (June 3 & 4) will join us to talk about how they are working with Annapolis Green and their hosts, Eastport Yacht Club and Annapolis Yacht Club, to earn a Sailors for the Sea Gold Level Clean Regatta certification. See the sidebar. Special Raffle! As a special treat, we'll have a raffle to win a two-hour sail from Galesville for only $5 per ticket, thanks to Capt. Paul Foer, and his 38' classic boat, the Non Sea Quitter. Proceeds will benefit Annapolis Green.
