Don't Miss "Joining us on the Wall"
The stave wall has begun! See below

Tuesday, Feb. 16
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel
Theme
Revisit, Reuse, Rejoice!
Event Sponsor
February marks the 10-year anniversary of Green Drinks Annapolis, which started with just a few environmentally minded friends at what is now Blackwall Hitch. What a difference a decade makes! Now we are 100-200 strong and one of the most successful Green Drinks in the country. More importantly, Green Drinks Annapolis has become a community resource, a place to meet in person, exchange ideas, learn something new, and yes, add fun to our concern for the environment! So, we're twisting the usual 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) like this:
Revisit - The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel. Yes, although still affiliated with Marriott, its now a part of the Autograph Collection. The hotel is celebrating its uniqueness and amazing re-branding and interior redesign done by Reiter Interiors and painting by Bill Addison's Painting Company. Learn more. Revisit the hotel and take a tour that showcases the clever re-purposing with a nod to local maritime lore! The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel is aware of its responsibility to protect our environment and invites its guests to consider participating in its eco initiatives. Learn more.
Reuse - In this case, we're talking interior design and furnishing of our new office space. While attending the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel's re-branding open house a few weeks ago, we met its amazing designers - Reiter Interiors. And, you guessed it, Reiter is helping us design the Annapolis Green House!
Rejoice - On February 28, 2006, as a birthday present to herself, Lynne gathered about 20 people over a drink at the Rockfish (with warm memories of the late Charlie Bauer), now Blackwall Hitch. We still have the original sign-in sheet. So, calling all "originals," we'd love to recognize you at this 10th anniversary Green Drinks!
We'd like to welcome new Green Drinks event sponsor SuperGreen Solutions, a retail provider of energy-efficient products and services for commercial and residential customers who want to address financial energy and sustainability goals.
As a local franchise, SuperGreen Solutions is able to provide the service of a neighborhood store while maintaining the buying power and product selection of an international corporation, providing high-quality cutting-edge technology products to produce substantial energy savings. Products include LED lighting, solar panels, wind turbines, tankless water heating, water purification, Indow Windows and more.
So, come join us next week! We'll toast our fabulous community, the twist of fate having the same designers that outfitted our original gathering space, and good things to come with updates on the Annapolis Green House that's taking shape right now.

Action Update!
Annapolis Green House
92 Maryland Avenue
Thanks to great work by Beers Flooring, our floors are now beautiful natural pine. Paint is next, then furnishings. And in the meantime, the construction of our Stave Wall has begun!
But we did get our sublet office painted and ready for our tenant, Friends of Deep Creek Late, who will move in shortly. Welcome!
We are so fortunate to have incredible support from the community, helping us get the House ship-shape, including: - Betty and Jim Davis - Reiter Interiors - Regal Paint Center/Benjamin Moore Paints - with a special thank you to Color Specialist Colleen Wanner - Great Frogs Winery - E.P. Henry - FastSigns - Budova Engineering - MyLogoOnIt.com - Tom Cagle Help from additional companies and individuals is being framed up now, particularly for interior and exterior plantings. Stay tuned!
In order to get things right, we're postponing putting up an open for business sign for just a little bit longer.
Meanwhile, please consider being a part of our new digs by making a donation to "buy" a stave. See below. |
