The Miracle on Maryland Avenue Continues The good news is spreading!
Vote for Our Tree & Come to our Open House
Thanks for your vote... of confidence... for our new home
and for our Lights of Kindness Tree at Homestead Gardens!
Come see our new space next Thursday
at our Open House
92 Maryland Avenue
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
See more information below. But first...
Now through Sunday, December 6
VOTING HAS BEGUN (now through 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6)
This is a wonderful event to raise money for countless causes. Either come see our tree at Homestead Gardens or cast your vote ($1 per vote, either way) for our all-too-appropriately themed tree, "Miracle on Maryland Avenue."
Forget 34th Street and focus on our historic street close to home. We are one of several charities that have decorated trees and the public will decide whose is best (in theme, in cause, in décor), thus earning the charity (meaning us!) some cash!
It's a given that our tree is done in an "extra Green" fashion. Aside from the energy efficient LED lights, natural berries, pine cones, and cork garlands, our tree showcases the "miracles" we have in Annapolis on Maryland Avenue and State Circle - the small, independent businesses that give the avenue its vitality. In fact, many of the ornaments were made for us by those merchants. We are celebrating the launch of our new office and these terrific merchants on Maryland Avenue. It is Annapolis' oldest shopping district, with roots that go back centuries.
If you can't make it to the holiday wonderland into which Homestead Gardens has transformed to see our tree and that of all the other charities, you can see photos and vote online now through Sunday, at 3 p.m. Just click here to vote.
Either way, it's a dollar a vote and you can vote as many times as you wish.
Our tree will up at our offices after the Rotary event is over so you will be able to see it at...
The Annapolis Green House Open House 92 Maryland Avenue
during Midnight Madness II
Thursday, December 10 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. See the true Miracle in Action - stop in at our Open House during Midnight Madness II and then go do your shopping on historic and eclectic Maryland Avenue and State Circle. Click to learn more about the history. Ours is a terrific little spot that will help propel us to the next level in our mission of making sustainability a way of life in the Annapolis area for a vibrant, healthy and prosperous community.
Come see the "before," that is, the before we paint, decorate, and furnish our office, Green Community Center/Conference space, and sublet office.
We will have some light refreshments including fabulous "sweet and savory" from Miss Nancy's Fancy Bakery (the goodies we enjoyed at the November Green Drinks at Capital Teas) and lots of good holiday cheer to share with you. We'll even have some special musical guests on our porch!
Join with us to see what's possible and to see how you can be a part of our vision!
The word really is spreading. The Capital published a story recently about our new office | read it here | as did Eye on Annapolis. | read it here
And we have quite a bit of interest in the office we plan to sublet. If you too are interested, please send us an email.
See you next week! Happy Holidays.
