Safe Lawn Care? You Can Make A Difference
Do you use a lawn care company? Would you like that company to use techniques and products that are healthy for your children, pets and the local waterways?
The Watershed Stewards Academy has created a Clean Lawn Care program for lawn care companies and customers like you.
A focus group of potential consumers of this program will be conducted in early July at Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center in Millersville. No knowledge of lawn care is necessary and financial compensation will be provided.
If you are interested in participating in this one-hour evening focus group, please fill out the very short questionnaire at this link no later than Wednesday, June 24.

Come by a Little Early
At 5 p.m., right before Green Drinks gets underway, we invite you to a ceremony to mark Annapolis Green's affiliation with Keep America Beautiful -- the second in Maryland.
As of June 23, we will brand our litter prevention, waste reduction & recycling, and beautification efforts under "Keep Annapolis Beautiful." Why are we doing this? The affiliation with Keep America Beautiful will bring proven programs to our area, and funds to carry them out, on a larger scale. Already, as part of the affiliation work, we've researched and discovered a lot of new things about the current state of our community. Learn more at Green Drinks.Stay a Little Late

Annapolis Implementation
of the Forest Conservation Act
The Annapolis City Council is shaping epic new legislation to protect the environment during the development of residential and commercial properties.
The City Council is considering several bills to enact a Forest Conservation Act. The Act will be a balance of interests for conservation, property development and citizen rights for transparency and participation. These decisions will impact the quality and quantity of forests conserved, including the peninsula's Greenway passage for migrating animals. These criteria dictate what Annapolis' future natural environment will look like. Alderman Jared Littmann will explain the current legislation. A public question and answer period will follow. | Information
