 City officials are concerned about the effect of sea level rise on the inventory of historic structures and cultural heritage in this area and are developing a Cultural Resource Hazard Mitigation Plan. Find out more at Green Drinks from:
The beautifully renovated Chart House will host our event, right on the water, overlooking Spa Creek. Come and learn about how its renovation included reuse of materials and other environmental best practices. Enjoy the complimentary appetizers and plan to stay for dinner.

Tiny House Essay Contest
 SustainaFest announces the official launch of its 2015 Tiny House Essay Contest. One inspired individual will take home the Minim model, off-grid, student-built Tiny House for $100 and a short essay answering the question: "What are your keys to living a sustainable lifestyle and how will owning the SustainaFest Tiny House help you realize your dream of living that lifestyle?" Over the next dew weeks SustainaFest is accepting contest entries with the goal of changing one person's life forever by handing over the keys to this house, valued at $76,000 and helping him or her take a big step toward sustainable living. The contest ends at 5 p.m. on June 1. Learn more.

Maryland Green Registry Award Nominations
 The Maryland Green Registry Leadership Awards are presented each year to the top five organizations that have shown a strong commitment to sustainable practices, measurable results, and continual improvement. The nomination process is easy. Nominate your favorite organization by Friday, May 15. Learn more.

Bike to Work Day Friday
 Sponsored by the Baltimore Metropolitan Council, the event will will feature more than 1000 bikers and approximately 30 events at locations around the region. Festivities in our area include an event at Market Space at City Dock in Annapolis, 7:30-9:00 a.m. featuring refreshments, giveaways, free bike safety inspections and a bike raffle courtesy of Bike Doctor of Annapolis and Arnold. There will be live broadcasting and a DJ by WNAV. A brief ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. featuring remarks from special guests Mayor Pantelides, Councilman Trumbauer and County Executive Schuh. The event will conclude with a bike ride up Main Street. Details.
