Buy a Lady a Drink
We were proud to have called attention to the importance of clean water -- both locally and globally -- at Green Drinks a couple of weeks ago when our theme was It's All About the Water.
Thanks to Neal Katcef, all Green Drinkers left our event with a beautiful Stella Chalice. Chalices were being sold as a way to raise funds for Buy a Lady a Drink, but they are sold out now for the moment.
If you took home a chalice at Green Drinks, why not make a donation of $12 to water.org as a way to pay for it and to do your bit for the women who endure such a hardship to obtain what we take for granted -- clean water.

As part of our Responsible Events and Festivals program, Annapolis Green, with sponsorship from SolarCity, is provided composting bins last weekend for the Parole Rotary's BarBAYq competitors to reduce the event's environmental footprint. Almost 1000 pounds of barbecue food scraps were collected at the end of the festival. This is currently being composted in an industrial-scale composting facility farm run by Veteran Compost in northern Maryland. In just two months it will be good, healthy soil amendment for local gardens. With tongue firmly in cheek in just two months we'll know who makes the best "dirt." Will it be the Parole Rotary (pork compost) or the Annapolis Rotary (crab compost)? This friendly rivalry is yet another way to get the word out about composting and overall Greening at events such as this. Thank you to the Parole Rotary and to Greening Sponsor SolarCity! Join our Green REF Team and become a sponsor of your favorite up and coming Annapolis Area Event! As we say... Make the Right Call!

Join Our Growing List of Sponsors Helping Us Green Area Events!
Responsible Events & Festivals, our festival greening program (The Green REF), is getting to be well-known. Planners of regattas, foot races, rowing races, and more, are now asking us to help Green their events. Find out how we can help and how your organization can be involved.
Our REF program is based on sponsorship.
We look for companies - in any sort of business - that would like to Make the Right Call and connect their brands to our recycling and composting educational efforts.
Sponsorship makes it possible to cover the expenses associated with making these good things happen! If you know of a company that might like to be a part of this exciting program, please contact us AND them. Tell them why you support Annapolis Green, put them in touch with us and we'll do the rest.We also welcome corporate volunteers who can help us with set-up and break-down at REF events. A REF event could be a great team-building initiative for your company.
Together, let's turn the tide and make this Festival Season a Green one!
