Show off what you know about the environment
Win Prizes!

Yes, we're changing it up a bit and putting out a challenge!

Gather your friends, find a ringer and make your reservation to play and eat or just play or just eat.

Food, fun and a little "learnin' about the environment," along with a few good Green Drinks and Green Drinkers and GREAT food -- that's what we've got on tap for you.

Show off what you know ... or not, and just have a great time!

Galway is turning over the dining room to us, creating a special menu and allowing us to fundraise this way. Lucky us! We hope this will be just the first of more trivia nights to come!

Put together a team, come play and eat!
Or, come drink and cheer. Or, come eat and cheer.

Fellow nonprofits, companies, politicians, Watershed Stewards, Riverkeepers, interested citizens, let's get some healthy competitions going! Who will get a ringer on their team?

Space is limited at Galway, so make your reservation now to join us next Wednesday! Call 410-263-8333.

Here's How it Will Work

Get a team together: 2 to 6 members. Cost will be $10 per team.

Galway Bay will offer a special fund raising menu (click here) - three courses for $25. The special menu will be available that evening from 5 to 10 p.m. with $10 from each meal participant generously donated by Galway Bay to Annapolis Green, along with the teams' entry fees of $10.

We'll have three courses of trivia questions with three prizes for the winning team in each and then a final round among the three winning teams to determine the overall winner for a really big prize!

Very important: You MUST call in your dinner reservation in advance and we do strongly suggest you call in your reservatio to play. Call 410-263-8333.

2015 Legislative Session
& the Environment

Among the environmental topics we can expect action on in this legislative session are:

Phosphorous Management Tool
in fact, Governor Hogan
blocked this on his first day
   in office

Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard

Fracking

Defense of the Stormwater Legislation

Environmental Justice

Pesticides

Plastic Bag Ban

Microbeads Ban

If you don't know what these issues are all about, follow our website and Facebook page throughout the legislative session to learn more, including how you can get involved. We're preparing information for you now.
What Has Annapolis Green Been Up To?

We're working on becoming a Keep America Beautiful Affiliate by assessing the litter level in the community, by studying where fit into the sustainability community in this area, and determining what our final organization structure will look like. We will have more information about this on our website soon.

We're joining this venerable organization because of the great opportunities it offers us, for the good of the community, in the form of program grants; state, regional and national collaborations; and more.

Want to help us do this? We need volunteers for a litter survey and an assessment of other sustainability groups in our community and how Annapolis Green fits in. If you'd like to be involved,  send us an email.

If you want to know more about Keep America Beautiful, click here. Lynne and Elvia will attend the KAB 2015 National Conference next week.
