Galway Bay Irish Pub

63 Maryland Avenue, Annapolis

5:30 -  7:30 p.m.

Theme:
Environmental Legislative Preview - State & County

Event Sponsor

Our event will feature the cozy atmosphere of Galway Bay Irish Pub -- perfect for a winter evening and complimentary, fabulous, healthy appetizers. A cash bar will offer your favorite beer or other beverage. And best of all, there will be plenty of time to catch up and to discuss what might be on the horizon for the legislative session that will start just a week later, on January 14.

Then at 7 p.m., you can step across the street for a deeper discussion of these issues at a Legislative Preview event hosted by the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, at 86 Maryland Avenue.

Among the topics to be covered are:

  • Phosphorous Management Tool
  • Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard
  • Fracking
  • Defense of the Stormwater Legislation
  • Environmental Justice, pesticides, and
  • County Legislation

If you don't know what these issues are all about, here's your chance to find out and to learn how you can get involved.

Our event sponsor is GreenVest, an innovative and effective solution provider t hat uses private capital to acquire, restore and preserve land containing impaired ecological systems. GreenVest generates environmental value by creating ecological assets, tradable commodities in the form of credits, generated from the preservation, enhancement, restoration or creation of natural ecological systems. Thank you for sponsoring our event!

Galway Bay, a Maryland Green Travel Partner, is one of the Greenest restaurants in the area in its operations and the sourcing of its food.
