The Great Crabcake Vote! Support the Boatyard Bar & Grill
A message from one of our Founding 100 Supporters:
We at the Boatyard are proud, humbled and honored to have advanced to the FINAL FOUR in the Baltimore Business journal's "Crab Cake Madness Survey!" Not only are we the only Eastport/Annapolis representative but we are the... only restaurant outside of Baltimore to have advanced!
if you like our crab cakes, please vote for us to go on to the final round. We would be honored and grateful to have your support!

Introducing the Annapolis Green HydraPouch
Encouraged by the Across the Bay 10K's efforts to eliminate paper cup hydration litter, we are offering an eco-friendly product that will help runners drink-up quickly, cleanly, and with a minimum of effort: the HydraPouch.
It's an almost weightless silicon pouch that clips onto the runner's clothing and works perfectly with the "fast-fill-up" HydraPour nozzles that race organizers will connect to water supplies for runners. It's much better than carrying a bottle for 10 kilometers!

Join us at the Vineyard Tomorrow
for a cozy, informative evening
Thursday, Nov. 6
3218 Harness Creek Road, Annapolis
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Theme
and Tug Responsibly too!
Join us at Annapolis' only winery, the award-winning Great Frogs, just minutes from downtown Annapolis, for a festive evening of wine tasting and delicious appetizers, in a lovely setting among the vines. We're working on a seasonal menu of sustainable appetizers that will beautifully accompany Great Frogs' wines, available for sale in a tastings format, and by the glass and by the bottle.
We'll enjoy this in the beautiful, rustic barn and outdoors under the stars next to the fire pit.
Here's a big thank you to 1 North Wealth Services, a Different Kind of Investment Advisor, for sponsoring our event!
Our theme is Run Responsibly TM to celebrate our participation in the Across the Bay 10K race on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Nov. 9. We're bringing in recycling and composting, thanks to a grant from BGE.
Race organizers are making this a "cup-free" race to eliminate the usual paper cup litter associated with water stops. Instead, they are asking runners to bring their own bottles or containers. Annapolis Green is helping by offering another alternative, the HydraPouch, thanks to sponsorship from the Maryland State Advisory Council on Physical Fitness and Maryland Sports, and the Chesapeake Conservancy. We will offer these for sale at the Pre-Race Expo on Nov. 7 & 8 at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. And... you'll have a preview at Green Drinks. If you're a runner, you might want to buy one or two for yourself! See the sidebar story. And of course, on Nov. 8 the great Maritime Republic of Eastport Tug of War against Annapolis will take place with opposing teams on Second Street in Eastport and Susan Campbell Park/City Dock in Annapolis. Look for our Eco-Stations, on both sides, as we Green the Tug for the second year in a row, thanks to sponsorship from K&B True Value, a long-time Annapolis Green supporter, and Green Life Chiropractic & Wellness. Read more about the Tug, now in its 17th year! NOTE: We are facing some challenges with catering in the vineyard so there will be a nominal charge for this edition of Green Drinks: $10. There still will be a cash bar, but your $10 will get you admission to a wonderful, informative event in a very special location and a Great Frogs wine glass!
The temps will be in the 50s so bundle up for the weather. Directions: From Forest Drive turn on to Spa Road, in the direction of the South River. Then turn left on to Harness Creek Road and the winery will be on your right. IMPORTANT: Parking is somewhat limited so car-pool if you can.
