For Your Calendar
Find out what's going on in the environmental world. Check our calendar for the latest, but here's a highlight: Tuesday, July 15, 7 p.m. Severn River Association meeting & presentation:
Is Your Favorite Tree a Savior or a Destroyer? Master Arborist Tyler Balderson will explain how to care for trees, where to plant them, and critically, how to spot trouble when a good tree goes bad.

Top of the Line
Tomorrow! Do Good. Have Fun. Love our Planet!
Wednesday, July 9
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
400 Sixth Street, Eastport, Annapolis
Event Sponsored by The Chesapeake Bayhawks
There is so much to tell you about! We're coming back to the spot where Green Drinks started, many years ago, now renamed Blackwall Hitch, a newly minted Annapolis Environmental Steward.
As you come in, be sure to notice the new parking lot. It may look like a lot of blacktop, but it is, in fact, a model for how to capture and treat stormwater. We'll have some info on that and maybe even a mini-tour. Read more on the Spa Creek Conservancy website.
But our Green Drinks theme is Do Good, Have Fun.
"Do Good. Have Fun," July 26 -- Our event sponsored by Bud Light and Keep America Beautiful on Saturday, July 26. It will be a fun morning of cleaning-up and refreshing the Ellen O. Moyer Back Creek Nature Park followed by lunch and great party! Read more on our website. And if you sign up at Green Drinks, your name will go in to a drawing for tickets to the Irish Festival this weekend courtesy of Blackwall Hitch.
The Chesapeake Bayhawks Go Green Night, July 31. -- On Thursday, July 31, our very own major league professional lacrosse team will play the Denver Outlaws in an action-packed game at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, starting at 7:30 p.m. The team has designated this game as Go Green Night and part of the ticket sales will benefit Annapolis Green! Items at the game will be recycled or composted and a reusable tote bag will be provided to fans, courtesy of Smartlink! And... there's more! Use a special Annapolis Green promo code to buy your discounted ticket. Read more on our website. Annapolis Rotary Crabfeast, August 1. -- Compost those crabs! Annapolis Green is working with the Rotary Club of Annapolis to this 69th annual event ZERO-WASTE! That means everything will be recycled or composted -- nothing to the landfill. Nearly 2,500 people are expected to attend and finish off 350 bushels of crabs, 3,400 ears of corn, 100 gallons of crab soup, 1,800 hot dogs, 150 pounds of beef barbeque, and hundreds of gallons of soft drinks and beer. Look for our Eco-Stations! The crab feast is not only a blast, it also supports Rotary's great work in our community. Read more.
No RSVP is necessary. Admission is free. Cash bar.
Come and mingle with like-minded people and learn one new thing, meet one new person.
See you there!
Lynne and Elvia
