Theme: Learn Something About Climate Change

The theme this month is the most serious issue facing planet Earth: Climate Change.

Educate yourself about climate change now. Click here to watch the first episode of Years of Living Dangerously, free, online. It's a series, starring Harrison Ford ad other celebrities and produced by James CameronJerry Weintraub and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's a good introduction to how climate change affect us all. Watching this will be one of the most eye-opening 59 minutes you'll ever spend.

Talk to Knowledgeable People about this: At Green Drinks we'll have folks who have been trained to discuss climate change issues including John Murray and Ellen Moyer of the Climate Reality Project.

Award Nominations Open

This shows that Maryland businesses DO want to Go Green! Read more.

We'll claim the recent additions of our very own Schooner Woodwind and B&B Chez Amis helped reach the goal!

Maryland Green Registry's 2014 Leadership Award nominations are open. Award winners represent a variety of facility types and sizes, but all have several key factors in common that contribute to their success: an organization-wide commitment to environmental performance, a green team that meets on a regular basis, annual environmental goals, and measurement of results. The awards will be presented on June 11 at an evening networking event in partnership with Bethesda Green at the Courtyard by Marriott Chevy Chase. Read more and nominate!

Annapolis in Bloom

Contribute to and be proud of Annapolis in Bloom -- the Annapolis hanging flowers you'll see in downtown Annapolis, Maryland Avenue, Francis Street, West Street, and on the Spa Creek Bridge.  The MainStreets Annapolis Partnership is heading up the crowdfunding effort for the flowers, which are provided, at-cost, by Homestead Gardens. The effort was kicked off at Green Drinks last month! Here's your chance to participate to make Annapolis Green, Clean and Beautiful! Every contribution helps. Read more.
