See you tonight at Green Drinks in "Eco-Alley" at our own Boat Show Party Celebrating Red Right Recycle!

Fleet Reserve Club

100 Compromise Street, Annapolis
next to the Marriott
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

The boat shows are here, opening today, and we are all over it, in the form of our eco-stations, making it easy for show patrons to recycle!

Our campaign is called  Red Right Recycle! for Clean Water & A Healthy Bay, and you'll see this logo not only at the show but also on posters in downtown merchants' windows and on small banners at some exhibitors' booths.
But first, about Green Drinks tonight.

Our sponsoring organization is Annapolis Yacht Sales. You might

remember our Green Drinks a few years ago at Sam's Waterfront Cafe aboard the Greenline Hybrid yacht! Well, with a big green presence in the show, come hear what AYS has going on, meet the new owners and staff and certainly visit them at the Powerboat show on Dock C

Our Partnering Organization is the Chesapeake Legal Alliance. We thank them for the support and welcome them.

Our special guests are the new owners of the Boat Shows, and the show exhibitors who will join us! Let's give them a hearty Annapolis welcome.

The Fleet Reserve Club is in the midst of serving up its famous pit beef sandwiches and more for hungry boat show patrons and exhibitors. It's their biggest fund-raiser of the year, so please support them during the shows. It's a great place to take a break from walking to sit and relax with a beverage. Read more and see a great photo of their tireless volunteers.

Adding to Fleet 's appetizers for our event tonight are Davis' Pub and Pusser's. Thank you!

Davis' has a happy hour Monday-Friday, 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. and their daily food specials can be found on their Facebook page. Pusser's happy hour is Monday-Friday, 4- 7 p.m. Read more.

Going to the show? Hop a ride on an eCruiser, flying  our banner thanks to sponsorship from Chesapeake Eye Care. They have helped us spread the word over the past two weeks about Red Right Recycle! helping us all to truly "See" Green.

Of course our Red Right Recycle! campaign for Clean Water & A Healthy Bay would not be possible without grant funding  from the BoatUS Foundation for Safe Boating and Clean Water and BGE. BoatUS reps will be at Green Drinks and they may be videotaping our event because they'd like to highlight our innovative campaign on their website!

The BoatUS booth has a unique feature -- carpet made largely from recycled material including discarded fishing nets. We brought this product to the show to demonstrate to exhibitors that there is a recyclable alternative to bargain-basement carpeting that ends up in the landfill. Have a look -- it's the beautiful blue carpeting in the BoatUS booth on one of the bridges at the show. Some exhibitors have already expressed interest!

As you enjoy the show, take notice of the eco-stations -- you can't miss them! Use them and encourage and thank guests for recycling.

As you stroll thru town, you'll see our posters on store windows. If you have friends and contacts who would like a poster to show their support, let us know.

We have five local businesses that are supporting our effort in a big way by sponsoring the eco-stations.

You'll see their logos prominently displayed on the eco-station lids.

We want to show grassroots support for this effort, so please go to our Red Right Recycle! landing page to see how you and your business or organization can be involved by putting up our posters and website image, flying a burgee at the show, by Facebooking and Tweeting the message that recycling is good for the environment, and more.

So come celebrate with us tonight at the Fleet Reserve Club, right next to the show, right next to the Marriott. It runs from 5:30 to 7:30 and as always it's free with a cash bar.

Cheers,

Elvia & Lynne
