Great September Green Drinks!

green drinks

We enjoyed great Green hospitality in every way at our Green Drinks event at the O'Callaghan Annapolis Hotel on the 11th. And thank you to our event sponsor, R3 Services. The hotel opened its doors to a full crowd that took over the breezeway with electric car displays, the lobby, bar, and John Barry restaurant. We must echo what we heard all night ... "Did you have some of that amazing food?" Kudos to the chef!

General Manager Albert Montone was the host with the most and his staff went above and beyond. We send our appreciation to the entire O'Callaghan's family for a most wonderful evening. See our website for details.

Our event sponsor was R3 Services. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is what R3 stands for both in mission and services. R3 is the business services division of New Horizons Supported Services a registered non-profit organization whose mission, for over 40 years, has been to help employ adults with disabilities. More info at r3services.org.

Our theme was a take-off on the Conference and Visitors Bureau's (CVB) website focus this month: Sustainable September. So we were joined by Frank DiVenti of the CBV who showed off the website on a monitor during our event. Check it out.

Towne Park's Brian Arnold told us about recent updates in the City's garages. That was a perfect lead-in to a mention of National Plug-In Day later this month. The Electric Vehicle Association of Greater DC will hold a series of displays and ride-and-drive events in our region including a display on City Dock on Sunday, September 29. But we got a sneak peek when our friends Professor Bob Bruninga and the Shock Family brought their vehicles to Green Drinks - a converted all-electric Prius and a spectacular Tesla Model S. Did you see the jump seat in the back of the Tesla? The Shock kids love it and Dad Tom loves talking about his new car!

Read a full recap of our event. And keep reading for news about our next Green Drinks: Our boat show event during which we'll celebrate our Red Right Recycle! initiative for Clean Water and a Healthy Bay!

Cheers,

Elvia & Lynne

Red Right Recycle! Celebration

Thursday, Oct. 3

on "Eco" Alley, 2nd deck
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Thank you to the Fleet Reserve Club and manager Brian Porter for having us back! We'll be launching our campaign on this opening day of the Powerboat Shows on Fleet's upper deck. Come see what it's all about, meet some boat show exhibitors, our sponsors, and enjoy the fabulous view of the show and our beautiful town.

With the Boat Shows around the corner, Annapolis Green is in high gear with our Red, Right, Recycle! campaign to provide recycling to boat show patrons to raise awareness about Clean Water and a Healthy Bay... and to demonstrate that we in Annapolis care about these issues.

Follow this link to learn more about the Red Right Recycle! campaign and find out how you can be part of this! Our tag line, "For Clean Water & a Healthy Bay."
