Top of the Line
See you at Brian Boru Tomorrow, Tuesday!
No where else in the area will you meet so many eco-minded people from all aspects of our environmental and business community. Come join in and see what all the buzz is about!
Tuesday, May 14
Brian Boru Restaurant & Pub
489 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Theme: Lighting & Energy Efficiency
Sponsoring Organization: Maryland Clean Energy Center
Partnering Organization: Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce
Come join us "up the road" at Brian Boru. Every once in a while we venture a bit out of downtown... Most of you know downtown's Galway Bay, and probably Killarney House, from our times out in Davidsonville at Homestead Gardens. The Irish Restaurant group's third restaurant (unless you travel to Ireland) is Brian Boru! And they are are very Green -- not only because they are Irish... so we want you to get to know this establishment too!
All three restaurants were the first in the state to become partners of the Maryland Green Registry... doing amazing things that are good for the environment. Click here to read about Brian Boru's Green practices.
At our event, learn about how the Maryland Clean Energy Center is building and advocating for programs that help with consumer project financing, business financing, tax incentives, workforce development -- including Green jobs -- and training, and R&D funding. Our last Living Green in Annapolis radio program featured the Maryland Clean Energy Center. Click here to listen.
We will have a special raffle, courtesy of Clean Currents: A cruise for two aboard the Schooner Woodwind! Sailing ... wind power ... that's energy efficiency! Don't forget, you can sign up to support wind power by switching your energy supplier to Clean Currents just like the Irish Restaurant Group has! Click here and that decision will benefit Annapolis Green too.
Since we are featuring lighting and energy efficiency, our friends at Infrared Tools Energy Services will be on hand to tell you how you can arrange for an eye-opening home performance audit to learn how to save money at home or at your business.
Of course, energy efficiency applies by land and by sea. Our friends at the MISEA Group, whose motto is "Be Safe, Be Seen, Be Green," have a 10% sale underway now of LED interior and navigation lights for boats at Fawcett Boat Supply. Click to learn more.
We always welcome new faces to Green Drinks, hence our special invitation to the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce -- our partnering organization this month. Bring your friends and colleagues!
Don't forget to carpool up Route 2 and bring your name badges and any information you'd like to share for our literature table -- but be sure to take the extras with you at the end of the evening.
Cheers until tomorrow!
