Commercial Recycling 

leadership anne arundelOur event sponsors, the 2013 Flagship Class of  Leadership Anne Arundel, will introduce its inaugural Reduce, Reuse and Recycle R3 Award, aimed at recognizing and promoting Green leadership in Anne Arundel County. Come learn about the details and how you can nominate a business. 

 

Stormwater Retrofit 

Our partnering organization, the Spa Creek Conservancy, and our hosts, The Rockfish, will present information about the long-awaited retrofit of the restaurant's parking lot to control stormwater runoff into Spa Creek. The Conservancy was awarded a grant to design a stormwater retrofit for the restaurant's large parking lot for a cleaner Spa Creek.  

 

"Local, Sustainable & Invasive" describes the appetizers Award-winning Rockfish Chef Chad Wells is Cooking up for us!  

 

Annapolis Ward 5 Alderman Jared Littmann, one of our Founding One Hundred sponsors, is going to make an important political announcement and we expect a few of our local and state elected officials to attend. 

 

Annapolis Beer Week 
Green Drinks coincides with  Annapolis Beer Week, a fun week of diverse beer-related events that will support week of diverse beer-related events that will support area charities, our community and local businesses while featuring craft beers. Green Drinks is one of the week's events -- featuring organically made or local beers -- and Annapolis Green is one of the benefiting non-profits!
 
Green Drinkers will have the opportunity to buy a flight, or a sampling, of the featured beers for $20, with $5 going directly to Annapolis Green! There is a lot more information about our event, including the five featured Green beers, on our website.

Annapolis Green and Mills Fine Wine & Spirits are delighted to offer boaters and wine enthusiasts an extensive, free tasting of wines packaged in boater- and eco-friendly formats.

The tasting will feature a variety of white, red, and sparkling wines--everything from Chardonnays to Malbecs to Moscatos--packaged in mainly paper-based, recyclable 3 liter boxes and Tetra Pak cartons in a variety of sizes as well as some in recyclable aluminum cans.
