Top of the Line
Once again we had a full house at Green Drinks to kick off to Midnight Madness. Becoming a tradition, we literally had hundreds come thru and begin their shopping and socializing with us ... including a repeat visit by the Three Wise Men! We're grateful to the Maryland Inn for opening their doors to us, and spoiling us with delicious appetizers and bar. We toast our sponsors PNC Wealth Management and enjoyed welcoming members of their brand-new Annapolis office to join in as well. The evening was made even more festive with the music of Swarbrick and Birney (featuring our own board member, Charlie Birney) and a special appearance by the Wiley H. Bates Performing and Visual Arts Magnet School's Chorus. See the video on our website.
Tonight is Midnight Madness Two and we hope you'll go Downtown tonight too to celebrate the season and support our Downtown merchants and restaurants, including the cozy Treaty of Paris at the Maryland Inn.
Historic Inns is offering a special Thank You rate of $89 for a night's stay. It's good Sunday through Thursday, with the Friday & Saturday rate being $109. What a marvelous opportunity to sleep where some of our founding fathers did or to treat visiting family members this Holiday Season. Click here to make reservations.
Happy Holidays!
Elvia & Lynne

Screening of Promised Land
Promised Land is the new movie coming out at the end of the month about the effect of fracking on a small town. It stars Matt Damon and was directed by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk). The film will be at Bow Tie in Annapolis, either at Harbour Center or at the Mall -- they haven't scheduled it yet. It opens on Dec. 28. But, if we wait a week and get a group of at least 25 we can see the film the evening of Friday, Jan. 4, for just $6.50 per ticket. If we get over 100, we may be able to lease the theatre and have a special showing just for us on Saturday morning, Jan. 5, for $6.50/ticket. Please go to our Facebook page or send us an email to let us know if you are interested in being part of an Annapolis Green viewing of the film. If we have enough interest we'll set this up!
