How Will Sandy Affect the Ecology of the Bay?

annapolis green logoFind out on our radio show, Living Green in Annapolis, today, October 31, 6 p.m.  Our guest will be Dr. Andrew Muller, Associate Professor of Oceanography at the Naval Academy. We're going to talk about the environmental impact of this storm on the health of the Bay.

The storm is touching the entire watershed, something that hasn't happened before. The Bay and its critters will be affected by the huge amount of fresh water in the form of rain along with releases of water and silt from the dams on the Susquehanna.

We will reschedule Jana Davis, Executive Director of the Chesapeake Bay Trust, who was to have been our guest this week.

Join Annapolis Green's Elvia Thompson this Wednesday evening, from 6 to 7 p.m., for Living Green in Annapolis on WNAV, 1430AM, 99.9 FM in the city, or streaming live on wnav.com, or archived on annapolisgreen.com/radio.

For the schedule of programs and guests, see our calendar.

Our theme is coming together but it will be something like "Holiday Gifts that Give Back." We want to showcase local, creative, "out of the box" Green gifts. For example, are you part of an environmental non-profit, a B-Corp, or a Green for-profit company with a product or service that would make a nice gift? If so, contact us at port@annapolisgreen.com to reserve a table. We'll have ten tables available for display... 'Tis the Season for Sustainability... Be creative!
