March 13th - Spring Forward in Your Yoga Practice!
Happy Spring Forward week! With the beginning of daylight saving time, the warmer weather and the sounds and sights of birds and other wildlife returning, it's safe to say that springtime is upon us!

This transition into spring reminds us to once again to take a look at what we're doing in our yoga practice to best benefit the body-mind-spirit connection. As humans, we are beings of the natural world who are deeply connected with the earth, though we may often forget this as we move about in our modern lives. As such, the quality and content of our yoga practice should change with the seasons to for us to derive the greatest benefit. Continued, consistent yoga practice helps boost the immune system, stirs up the heavy, stagnant energy of kapha which is so prevalent during the spring, and helps us cultivate an attitude of growth and openness in the mind.

As the season progresses, your favorite HeartSong teachers will be sharing tips to help you boost your immunity, make the most of your practice and live your best life. We hope you'll come experience what they have to offer! In the mean time, here's a great article from Daily Cup of Yoga with some tips on how to modify your diet and asana practice for the spring.
