Sacred Circle Dance & Chant - October 25 at 4 pm in Caton Hall

"Step by step and round and round
Carry me to holy ground.
Center is calling, Earth's still revolving.
Something lost and something found."

Come join us for an experience of chanting and circle dance.  It's an enriching and wholesome practice.  No partner needed, easy to learn (there are no "mistakes"), and it calls us to the Center - to holy ground.  Ask me if you have any questions about it (saoliva44@comcast.net or 410-224-6708).

Evolve Welcomes You to "Open Arms"
Tuesday, October 27 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm

We invite you to explore our committee through Open Arms.  As a ministry committed to Creation Spirituality, Evolve is always learning and trying to deepen it's spirituality.  Join our small Open Arms group at a member's home for dinner, usually followed by a DVD and discussion.  It is a good way to get to know each other better and guaranteed  fun!

Suzie Robertson will host the event at the guest house of her place of employment in Galesville.  Please give her an RSVP.  You can contact her by clicking here if you need directions or would like more information about Open Arms.

From Erine
Erine Sedicum
The head and the body was the topic of our Sunday Reflection last week.  With my humor, I appeared at evening service wearing a t-shirt with "I'm a work in progress."  I read no memo and reviewed nothing.  I did enjoy the humor of head over the body, as we have slowed down direct communication for the indirect, using our fingers over our mouths.  We use LOL, LMAO, BRB, and more to communicate.  Whatever happened to a conversation over breakfast, coffee, or just hanging out?  Whatever happened to just being present...not on phone and computers?  The human element is lost...lost in misunderstandings.

What if we used the tools together like when the media is used for connections?  The head can guide a body to solve problems and not lose the human element.  Many countries lack human resources and have performed miracles through and for science and technology.  Even regions unknown to us have benefited because the heads and the bodies became one!   That is amazing!

So I want a world where the body, being whatever it is, will be beautiful and special as only it can be.  We are heads that need bodies, and loving our bodies as a place of self-respect, honor, beauty, and strength.  Our bodies are now a temple and our head is the temple guard against injuring oneself.  "I'm a work in progress," but are you?

will you ever bring a better gift for the world
than the breathing aspect that you carry
wherever you go right now?  Are you waiting
for time to show you some better thoughts?
When you turn around, starting here, lift this
new glimpse that you found; carry into evening
all that you want from this day, this interval you spent
reading or hearing this, keep it for life--
what can anyone give you greater than now,
starting here, right in this room, when you turn around?

The United Nations Climate Change Conference will be held in Paris from November 30 - December 11, 2015.  Keep your eye out for information about it and suggestions on how we might have a little input or influence on this meeting or be stirred to action for our mother Earth after it.
