CROP Hunger Walks are neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world.  Different ages, faiths and back- backgrounds--together we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting. Some 2,000 communities across the country take part each year.   For more information or to join or support UCC Annapolis's Crop Walk in Severna Park, please contact Marlene Plumley at marleneplumley@yahoo.com.

What is being celebrated in trinitarian doctrine is the truth that neither the universe nor the Creator is static; they are unfolding, pulsating, passionate, loving, creating, breathing, spiraling.  And that human- kind's imaging of such a creating triune God must also be an imaging of generation and creativity.  [Meister] Eckhart captures the urgency of this doctrine when he says, "Our name is that we must be born.  And the Creator's name is: to bear."

Creation Spirituality Communities
is a network of communities ranging from intentional groups to alternative churches, which are grounded in the tenants of Creation Spirituality and revere the sacredness of all creation. Through study, ritual, celebration and action, these communities support justice, compassion, transformation and sustainability for the Universe and for all living beings.  It is both tradition and movement, celebrated by mystics and agents of social change from every age and culture.  Our online community, Chesapeake Creation Spirituality Community, is waiting for you to join:   http://originalblessing.ning.com.

From Erine... "The Power of an Image"

"A retarded person moves faster than you." (age 14, home after dinner) * "You are too dumb for college." (age 17, high school graduation) * "You were an accident." (age 26, talking it out). In our time of Letting Go, it is time to put these there too.  The first one, "A retarded person moves faster than you."  I have broken this one by being one of the top line pullers as a Bulk Order Puller.  Plus the many "special" projects that have come my way that they wanted me to do in other jobs. This one is a Letting Go!  The second one, "You are too dumb for college." After being laid-off a job I loved and was successful in, I had to think about my next move.  I already had management under my belt so I attended AACC from 2002 to 2009, leaving my AAT Early Childhood Education incomplete due to lack of funds, not intelligence.  I currently have an AA in Business Management and General Studies.  My GPA was a 3.3? (been awhile) when my classes stopped.  One semester was a 4.0.  This one is Letting Go!  I hope to still complete my education if it is meant to be!!!  The last one, "You were an accident."  This is not so easy as an accident can happen as any moment.  The moment can make or break a situation or situations.  I had many wonderful accidents that resulted in things that showed me the awe and wonder of life itself.  It also showed the ugly, but I walk through it so I can be the person I'm meant to be.  The two balanced themselves out.  If the Letting Go is using my being an accident to benefit others, I will declare this a Letting Go!

My one request is that people take more care with each other. We must try to stop the harsh words and actions, seeing each other for our strengths and weaknesses, understanding that support will help stop us from feeling the need to injure. These injuries take so much to override and when we can say that there is nothing wrong with me, you have accomplished a great deal.  Please consider what words we say and actions we do; they can hurt.  We all are guilty of this even if we don't mean it...we are human...it will happen.  Love to All and Hold each other in each other's heart.
