"I wanted to share this video clip of my 'Awe and Wonder' photos that I placed on YouTube....  I like to sit in a quiet room, play the video, relax, and go into a different 'zone' for a little while.

I hope you enjoy it."

An Action for Environment & Justice this Friday, June 27, 12-1:30 pm

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
888 First St NE, DC
Metro: Union Station

When the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Environmental Assessment claimed that the liquified natural gas project at Cove Point would have no "significant" impacts on the environment or human health, we responded. Over the last few weeks, 150,000 people across the country spoke out against the proposed facility and deman-
ded a full Environmental Impact Statement to ensure real scrutiny of this project's impacts.

Now, we're taking our voices to FERC's doorsteps. Caring neighbors are showing up at FERC's headquarters each day this week to call attention to its undemocratic
processes and insufficient review of fracked gas export projects. Join us on your lunch break on Friday when the faith community will come and stake a stand together.

RSVP on Facebook and remember to bring congregational banners, wear congrega-
tional T-shirts, and don your clerical collar or religious head covering to join our spirited group!

Vusi Mahlasela

Another Bit of Awe & Wonder from "TED Talks"
This is 5 minutes of relaxing, ingenious, fun, refreshing and gentle beauty.  Watch and listen to Vusi Mahlasela in "Woza."  He was a crucial artistic voice during the fight against apartheid, and now in the new modern-day nation. Blending traditional African music with soul and blues, his music showcases powerful vocals and poetic lyrics.
Vusi Mahlasela has dedicated his life to using music and words to inspire change. As a young boy in South Africa, he was routinely watched by the police because of his anti-apartheid poetry and his open support of student protest. During the final fight against apartheid, his songs of protest and solidarity became anthems -- stirring the South African people to create their new nation. Just click here. Then on that site on the search box in upper right corner type in: Vusi Mahlasela "Woza."
