Reality as we know it, inside and out, physical and spiritual, is
evolving. If whatever we mean by God is involved in reality as we
know it to be then religion and spirituality need to enter into a deep inquiry about how this is so.

From Creation Spirituality Communities:

4th Principle of Creation Spirituality
In our lives, it is through the work of spiritual practice
that we find our deep and true selves.
Through the arts of meditation and silence
we cultivate a clarity of mind and
move beyond fear into compassion and community.

 When I have a terrible need of--dare I say--"religion"?--

then I go outside at night and paint the stars.

Switching to Wind Power
                                                                   by Sylvia Oliva
A Wind Farm
Combating climate change is a big undertaking, but I feel we can all find some small ways in our local communities that could have a significant national impact.  In our household we recently switched to clean energy through wind power.  It was easy and quick to do. We now use Clean Currents (www.CleanCurrents.com) as our energy supplier, delivered through BGE.  If you click on the link below, you'll find a list of other suppliers that deliver through BGE and you can pick out the ones that deliver 100% clean, renewable energy.  I believe this is the way to go to help reduce carbon pollution.  It may cost a little more at the beginning, but if you sign up for a long-term contract it may save you money in the long run, and it will help save our planet from global warming.  Unless wind energy is supported now by individuals and companies, it may not be there for us in the future.

We had Companion Lynn Edwards, Members Scott Bowling, Andre Hill, and Our Pastor Wayne Schwandt.  I had a bird's eye view...  It was wonderful and I hope the LGBT Community and Supportive Straights at AACC and in general can have a safe place.  Thank God for Evolve Chesapeake...Thank God for "My Chosen Family."

autumn covers my limbs

I'll paint on my easel.

leaves, the whisper words
that I somehow don't understand.

the road distances itself
from where I sit and everywhere
autumn begins to cover my limbs.

Help those in need by bringing to our Sunday gathering, an item or two for the local food bank when you are able.  Most welcome are pantry staples: tinned meat and fish, boxed pasta products, infant formula, etc. and personal care products such as toilet paper, laundry detergent, disposable razors, bath and shower soap, dish soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products.  Collection is ongoing every Sunday.
