You're Invited to Our
Planning Extravaganza
Sunday, April 24, 11:15 am to 1:00 pm

 ,

Most of you will recall that last year, during Lent 2015, we conducted a Church Assessment Survey.  The purpose of the survey was to both assess the health of the congregation and receive input in identifying areas of focus that would be targeted for special effort over the next three years.   If you wish to refresh your memory, you will find a summary of those survey results here.

Once the survey results were received by the Vestry and published to the congregation, an All-Church Supper was held last June to discuss the areas of focus that emerged from the survey, and to answer questions.

Now, it is time for us to move forward in our planning process, and your participation is essential to these next steps.

On Sunday, April 24, following the 10:00 am service, we will gather in five groups -- one group for each of the focus areas -- for a time of brainstorming.  Lunch will be provided, along with child care and a children's activity, and we will end by 1:00 pm.  Each group will have a facilitator to guide the process.  The result of this April 24 session will be to identify three actions for each focus area that will advance our ministry.   We also hope to identify out of each group a core of three to five people who will meet an additional time to flesh out these three actions and to determine the timing for these actions over the next three years.

We are blessed to have a healthy and vital congregation, and there are always areas that require and deserved more sustained focus and effort.   As our consultant in the survey process reminded us, our vitality is such that we could easily become complacent, ultimately losing that vitality.  This process is meant to keep us on track.

Please plug this into your calendar, and plan to spend this important time with us on April 24 as we plan together for the future of Trinity Church.

Peace,
MatthewSignatureGenuine
