Once again, thanks to the efforts of Holly Tambling and her family, we will be doing an Easter Basket Build in Trinity hall this Saturday, beginning from 10:00 am to Noon.  The baskets go to children at Haven House and other shelters.  This is a great outreach project for all ages.   The Altar Guild will also be in the Tierney Room making Palm Crosses during this same time, to be used at Sunday's Palm Sunday service.  They're happy to show you how to do it, and would love your help.

This Sunday is, of course, Palm Sunday, and both the 8:00 am and 10:00 am services will include the Liturgy of the Palms and reading of the Passion Gospel.  At 10:00 am, children will participate in the procession (which will take place in the Courtyard, weather permitting) and then will go to the Chapel, where Rev. Mary will be leading them through a special Palm Sunday/Holy Week experience.  Please note that there is NO 5:05 service this Sunday.

I hope that you will make plans to participate in our Holy Week services this year.  The services of Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday provide a depth and richness that heightens the experience of Easter.  This year's Great Vigil of Easter, celebrated on Saturday evening before Easter Day, will be particularly special.  We will have two baptisms:  Eleanor Riley and Sarah Tkach.  A wonderful way to begin our Easter celebrations.

You can find our Holy Week and Easter service schedule here.

Peace,
MatthewSignatureGenuine

Easter Basket Build
March 19  10-12 pm

Join us on Saturday, March 19th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm for our annual Easter Basket Build!  We will assemble upwards of 300 baskets for the kids in the Haven House Shelter and other Peninsula shelters.  This is a fabulous Trinity tradition that is great for all ages.  Come for the whole morning, or drop by for a little while.
Lots of hands will
make quick work.  Our thanks to Holly Tambling and the Tambling Family who got this started at Trinity several years ago.  Come and help us spread Easter joy to children whose lives are not nearly as joyous as they should be.

OWLS Luncheon
Friday, April 8th, Noon, Angus Hall

After her Lenten series on the book Being Mortal by Atul Gawande, several parishioners asked her if she would continue her talk surrounding this important subject. In our group, many felt that there was a need to continue following up on how we can better approach our mortality when we (our spouses, friends, and perhaps parents) are closer to it at this stage of life. It will be a chance to address issues into which we want to delve deeper. After the OWLS meeting there may be an interest for groups to form to meet and discuss this with each other.

Please contact Alecia in the office to let us know if you plan to join us for this informative presentation. Lunch is always provided for attendees, so don't miss out joining OWLS on this date.
