MAGNETS
If you purchased an AFM car magnet THIS band season , I have free replacements because the batch we received was too thin and didn't stand up to the weather. Please see Sally Baker at any band event or send an e-mail to coordinate pick up of your new magnets. This offer is only good for magnets purchased this season. If you would like to purchase magnets, I will have them for sale at the same time for $5 each. I will be in the stand at Dublin this weekend with magnets.

GRUBMASTER NOTE
WBA Championships
We are gearing up to support the band at the Western Band Association competition scheduled the weekend of 23-24 November in Clovis, CA. American Stage Tours (our wonderful bus company) is graciously providing a pizza dinner for the students on Saturday evening after the preliminary competition. Parents, siblings, friends and volunteers don't be left out. For a minimum donation of $5.00/person extra pizzas will be ordered to feed our band family.
Also, we have secured catering for the Senior Banquet Sunday and as in years past have extra servings for parents and guests. We ask for a donation of $10.00 per parent or guest to help defray the costs of the additional meals.
Please see Marianne or Michael at the Tuesday evening practices or pre-pay by leaving your money with name, phone number and number of pizza or banquet tickets needed in the AFM mailbox located in the band room.
Volunteers will be needed for meal (Pizza Dinner / Lunch and Senior Banquet, etc.), snack and cake service for our band members at WBA in Clovis. We will also have signups open for coolers, canopies, table cloths, plates and utensils as well. Please check the newsletter next week to see how you can sign up to help the band!

Thank you! To everyone for making Saturday happen with all of the different variables of the Foothill competition. To the closed parking lots, student drop-off/pick-up, the longer than expected wait for awards and weather that seemed to span a 35 degree drop over the course of the day, both students and parents are to be commended for a job well done!
Congratulations to the band on bringing home Music Sweepstakes, High Music, High Color Guard, High Percussion, High Woodwinds, and a tie for High General Effect.
Dublin information now up! Please see the itinerary on the website and on the Charms calendar. This is a carpool situation again. A map will be posted as soon as drop off location is known from the Dublin band boosters. Saturday is an SAT test date on Amador's campus, thus resulting in a later start to our practice that day. Thanks for your patience and support as your successful season moves into it's final leg!

News from RA Land!
The band continues to dazzle us with its performances! Another great one at Foothill and looking forward to this Saturday at Dublin!
Remember to check to see if YOUR STUDENT is on snack duty! The kids really appreciate their snack after performing but that only works if you make your cookie donation.
I still need help with both the James Logan competition on Nov 16th as well as our Friends and Family performance on Nov 21st. Our F & F performance is the last one before we head to Fresno for Championships. It would be GREAT if those that are working all weekend at the Championships got to take the night off to watch the band from the stands during F & F. If you can help me out that night, I'd really appreciate it! Just check the Charms website and get signed up.
