Update on the Raley's Extra card and
 Gene's Fine Food

Contributor account numbers are available on reports for the Raley's Extra card again.  If you have your account number, email me so the quarterly contributions will be credited to your student's account.

If you shop at Gene's Fine Foods, stop by and get its Community Card.  Gene's is part of the eScrip program so up to 5% of your monthly purchases will benefit Amador Friends of Music and your student.  Gene's is running a promotion until May 31 where we can earn an additional 10% from Clover Stornetta Farms or Clover Organic Farms items (excluding milk & eggs).  I have 75 cents coupons available for Clover products if you are interested.  Unlike Safeway that has a cap on contributions to AFM which was reached late last year, Gene's currently has no cap on contributions.

If you have any questions, feel free to email Doris Lem.

 Thank You!!

Thank you for attending the concerts this week!  The performances were well attended and the quality of the musicianship was outstanding.  Amador Valley is a special place to call home, specifically with regards to making music with so many wonderful students.

Next year's calendar is posted  As we are transitioning from a Google calendar to the new Charms Management System, the calendar links are being updated on the web page.  Please note that on the web page, you can click on the "New Students Register Here" tab to get to the calendar for next year.

A few things...
1. All returning (and new) band families can click on this link to navigate to the new calendar until the website is updated with a clean link to the calendar.
2. Once you click on "New Students Register Here" it will take you away from the Amador music web page and direct you to Charms.
3. Once at Charms, without doing anything else (no data entry, no forms to fill out, etc) note in the upper left corner there is a tab for "Calendar"
4. Click on "Calendar" and you will be able to find all dates for the 2013-2014 school year.

Sign up to help with Uniform Fittings - Aug 15/16

Want to be the first to see the 2013 Amador band in uniform?  Then volunteer to help out with uniform fittings during band camp in August!  We have many ways to help: Got marching band fashion sense?  Be a uniform fitter!  Like to organize things?  Help out in the uniform closet!  Not sure what you want?  We will train you to: fit gloves, shakos, gauntlets, jackets, and pants.  It's lots of fun and a great way to start the band season!  Click this link to sign-up. We look forward to seeing you there!

MAGIC WINE BUS- GET YOUR SEAT!

The Magic Wine Bus is an Amador Music tradition. It's our fifth year of taking parents into Wine Country while the students have a long Saturday practice. Parents get a chance to bond with other band parents while exploring the treasures of Napa and Sonoma.l We still have 12 seats available on this year's bus so grab them soon. You won't want to miss the fun we have planned;

A tour and tasting of Mumm Sparkling Wine
A lunch in the grapevines of Peju, followed by a Grape Stomp
Olive oil tastings at Jacuzzi Winery in Sonoma

This all happens on September 7, from 8:30am - 6 pm, at a great rate of $90 per person.  Please email Amy Moellering to order tickets.

Looking for ways for you or your child to earn dollars for your band donations?  We have just the thing for you.

For the second year, the band has the opportunity to volunteer for the Alameda County Fair.  As a volunteer, you can earn dollars ($4 or $5 per hour) that can be put directly into your child's account or donated to the band. The Fair needs parents and students to volunteer.  Every hour that is worked can earn dollars towards your band fees.

There are limited hours available and need volunteers that can be very flexible in the areas they work at and have availability late into the fair.

If you are interested, please fill out this form and list Audrey Gould as the group sponsor ASAP and email the form directly to Jamie Osborn and copy Audrey.

The Fair runs from Wednesday, June 19th to  Sunday, July 7th (closed Mondays).

It's a great way to earn money during the summer vacation.

If you have questions, please contact Audrey
