AFM Financial Update

I want to share an update on AFM's financial situation.  At the January Board meeting, AFM treasurer Bob Naylor presented both good and bad news. First, the positive. Through the faithful donations by a vast majority of the parent community, and with successful fund raising, the Arizona trip used $3,449 less than what was allocated from last year's Magic of Music fundraiser. This money was returned to our capital account for future use. Thank you to everyone for your support.

A larger concern is our donation rate for the Fall & Spring programs. We are running about 8% behind what we collected last year at this time. I urge everyone to review donation requests as they are mailed & emailed, and if you can do so please send a check. The team is just beginning to plan for next season, and unfortunately if we see a deficit for this year, the fall program will need to be scaled back.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. For details about the AFM plans and finances,  all are invited to the next board meeting scheduled for February 11th at 7:00 PM in the Choir room.

Spring Cleaning

Now that the marching season is over, we have started the process of Spring Cleaning. There are a number of coolers and other personal items that have been left in the band room foyer, guard room, etc. Please stop by and look around if you are missing anything. Next week we will clean up, and any items found will be adopted or donated. Thanks.

Bring Band Uniforms

Marching Band Uniforms:  245 down, 3 to go.  Don't be the last one!  Bring uniforms to Mr. Grantham.

Thank you!

GOT WINE, JEWELRY or GIFT CARDS?

We are very much in need of donation wines and/or jewelry to support Wine Pull and Balloon Sales at the Magic of Music, our largest fundraiser of the year.  Also, if you received a gift card at Christmas that you don't want or won't use we would love to have it too.  Any kind of wine will be appreciated. As for jewelry, they can be new or gently used as long as they are worth $10 or more.  Please do NOT send wine donations with your student.  Must be 21 or older to deliver wine.

To arrange a pick up or drop off, please contact Stella Kim  or Audrey Gould.
