What a night!

Congratulations to the band and guard on turning in a stellar performance at the Foothill Band Review on Saturday. The Marching Dons are a sight to behold on the field and did not disappoint. The band earned 1st place in the 5A division in a large field, brought home Music Sweepstakes, High Brass and 2nd place finishes in guard, percussion, GE and visual. Thank you to each family for navigating a busy Foothill campus with the drop-off and pick-up of each band member. Your support is noticed and much appreciated. Amador hits the road on Saturday... Please check the link below for information on the upcoming Independence High School Invitational. Independence ItineraryA look ahead...With the WBA part of our season winding down, there are a few dates to be aware of beyond the usual Tuesdays and Saturdays. 11/12 Brass/Woodwinds will have a 3-hour rehearsal, time TBA (facilities are still being arranged with band, soccer, and football schedules) *there is no school on the 12th. Time will be announced as soon as it is known. Thanks for your patience. 11/15 Friends and Family @ Foothill HS (7:00 pm, free) This annual event brings both high school marching bands together at the end of their seasons for a non-competitive performance of their shows. Each band gets to sit in the stands and watch the other. It is a great event that fills the bleachers each year. Pleasanton is truly a music town and this night is a wonderful way for friends, neighbors, and relatives to watch the bands perform if they are unable to travel to the competitions. Any Wind Ensemble parents able to help... with measuring the new students in Wind Ensembles I/II for the order of their tuxedos and concert dresses? The students will be measured during class time and it can be scheduled based on your availability. Please let me know if you are able to help. You'll need a measuring tape. I'll provide the sizing chart and of course the students! Thank.

How can we connect with local community businesses? Share Your Connections
We are so excited about the great support we are receiving from the Pleasanton community. We are asking for band families' support to help us connect with even more members of the community to support our financial needs. Joe Foos and Ellen McGraw have put together a sponsorship program and are eager, willing, and able to meet with community businesses. Will you share your connections? Does your company have an initiative to support community activities? Maybe you know band alumni who would be interested in sponsorships? Or you might know of local businesses that would benefit by promoting their services to the band community. Sponsorships are available from $500-$2500. We have an exciting opportunity available for the upcoming Friends & Family show. More information? Contact Joe or Ellen.

Uniforms - Time to wash pants?
Just a quick reminder to periodically wash your student's bib pants in cold water and dry them on a cool dryer setting (permanent press should be fine). Taking them out of the dryer right away usually means they don't need to be pressed. If they get wrinkled, please use an iron that is set to a cool setting so the pants don't melt. (Alternatives are a steamer, or you can dampen the pants and put them back into the dryer.)
Remember: DO NOT WASH OR DRY CLEAN THE JACKET!
Thanks! The students look great out there!
