This year's annual Bowl A Thon will be held on October 26th at 9 PM at Granada Bowl. Tickets will be sold for 10 dollars. Majority of the profits will go to scholarships for music lessons for deserving middle school students!

We need PARENT CHAPERONES! If you are free that night and you would like to volunteer, please contact Sara Borchers  for more details. If you have any questions, please contact the Band Council.

Senior Parents!!

Thank you for all the contributions that have been sent in to date to help defray the costs for the souvenirs we are making for our seniors appreciation luncheon @ WBA. We are still in need of some funding in order to be able to proceed with our plans, so we ask that if you haven't done so already, that you send your donation to school with your student asap and give it to Eric Butler. You can also mail it to Sher Butler, 1420 Parkview Dr, Pleasanton. Please feel free to get in touch with Sher Butler if you have any concerns/questions.

Medication Forms Reminder

Parents, please remember that we need to have the following forms in our medical binder prior to any of our competitions should your student need to take any medication (including over-the-counter medication such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen or Pepto-bismol) OR  if your student carries any life sustaining medications. These forms must be filled out annually and must be signed by your students doctor. Please click HERE for Medicataion Consent Form required for a student to carry medications of any kind while on a trip OR HERE for Contract to Carry Life Sustaining Medications for students who carry an inhaler, EpiPen,Insulin or Glucagon.  Please give these forms directly to Mr. Grantham.

Thanks for the Goodies

    cupcakes

The students seem to always look forward to their hard earned treats on Tuesday nights after band practice. Keep them coming! Just a reminder - no nuts. Please look carefully at the ingrediants on store bought items. Thank you again!

If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me Allison Cox.

Thanks Again!

eScrip Reminder

Just a reminder that the November 1st renewal deadline is fast approaching so make sure you RENEW your commitment to the eScrip program or your contributions will stop!!

Renew your Safeway card and add your new Gene's card, debit accounts and credit cards to your eScrip account.  For this year, 100% of your contributions will go to your student's account.

Enroll your Raley's Something Extra card and designate Amador Friends of Music as your support group.
For this program, you must send me a copy of your quarterly donation statement so that credit can be applied to your student's account.

If you have any questions, feel free to email Doris Lem.

Amador at Foothill Band Review Saturday!!
Please check the itinerary on the website for detailed information.

"Do I have everything I need to be successful today?"

Some reminders about parking and traffic:

1. For the 12:00 practice report time at Amador, note that the Santa Rita Rd. lot will be blocked off and Main St. will be closed due to the band review parade.  Student drop-off is available in the Del Valle lot and students who are driving will be able to park in the garage.  Please leave extra travel time allowing for traffic congestion.

2. There will be a drop-off point at Foothill HS for Amador band students.  There is not a parking area set aside for Amador, just a drop-off point (which will be located by the band room on Foothill's campus).  Traffic guides will be on hand to assist in getting you to the drop off location.  Please note that there is a charge to park on Foothill's campus for the band review if you are staying to watch, though you will not be charged if you are just dropping off your child.

3. Student pick-up will be challenging because large numbers of band students, parents, trucks and buses will be leaving Foothill's campus at the same time.  If possible, make plans to pick up your child in one of the nearby subdivisions.  Please leave extra travel time allowing for traffic congestion.
