We need volunteers to dress in costume and deliver the scripted program on the dates below:

Volunteer Photographers

various locations

Are you a professional or talented amateur photographer willing to donate your time and skills? Volunteers are needed to photograph a variety of events and programs throughout the year. Photos will be used with credit but without usage fee in council marketing materials, our website or other media outlets, and we encourage you to bring business cards to the event. You may choose to photograph one or more events/programs. Upcoming events include full-day conferences Saturday, October 26 in Burlington and Saturday, November 6 in Raynham.

We have many troops starting for the first time or regrouping after the summer break. Troop volunteers support and mentor while they earn badges, attend council programs and participate in product sales. Troops are best led by a team of three or more adults. There are troops in your neighborhood or near your place of business that could benefit from your time and talents. Below are just a few of the opportunities available now:

Chinatown: Thursdays, 4:30-5:45 PM

Beacon Hill: Mondays, 5:15-6:30 PM

Troop volunteers are also needed in Dorchester, South Boston, Allston, West Roxbury and communities near you. Please call for more details.

We are recruiting volunteers to work with girls in grades K-5 or 6-12 for an eight-week Girl Scout Series. We provide curriculum, training and support--you bring your enthusiasm! Troop Organizer

various locations, including Winchester

Do you like to plan parties? Would you like a social volunteer position in your community that will benefit local families? The Girl Scout volunteer team near you is looking for a new member to help coordinate an information/sign-up event. The troop organizer will obtain flyers and other marketing materials from the council office and prepare an informative event for those interested in joining Girl Scouts. Following the event, you will organize girls into troops and direct parents interested in leading to the appropriate council trainings. These events can be held in the fall, winter and/or spring.

Service Unit Coordinator/Assistant Coordinator

various locations

Do you have the leadership skills to organize and guide a group of volunteers and build a strong Girl Scout program in your community? The service unit coordinator (or a team of two coordinators) is responsible for facilitating at least three local volunteer meetings per year to develop program and provide in-person mentoring. The coordinator will act as the liaison between Girl Scout staff and the volunteers in a specific community, manage a team of volunteers, recruit new volunteers and recognize outstanding volunteers. Training is provided and support from Girl Scout staff is ongoing. There are a number of communities looking to fill this position, including Marblehead, Wenham/Hamilton, Salem and Methuen.

Thank you to Newtonville Camera for nominating GSEM for the Cares4Kids program.
