Cambridge Historical Society's 
50 for 50 Photo Exhibit 
 
The Cambridge Historical Society will feature a Mount Auburn photo in their 50 for 50 Photo Exhibit
currently on display in the Multicultural Arts Center's Lower Gallery at 41 Second Street, East Cambridge
 
The photo exhibit is up now through November 27th, and the gallery is open Monday-Friday from 10:30 AM to 6PM.

Wildlife Highlight: The Dark-eyed Junco

 

 
Junco The Dark-eyed Junco is a very common winter visitor to our area; the first appearance is usually in mid October when these "snowbirds" arrive - reminding us that winter is fast approaching. The Junco is a member of the sparrow family and at one point it was thought to be five different species.
 
The species we see here in the east is the "slate-colored" subspecies. It is a very common bird at Mount Auburn... learn more

Person of the Month: Caroline Keller Loughlin (1940 - 2013)

Mount Auburn Cemetery lost a beloved friend, volunteer and trustee in Caroline Loughlin who passed away last month.  
 
Caroline served in the Historical Collections Department at the Cemetery for 13 years, was appointed trustee of the Friends of Mount Auburn in 2006, and trustee of Mount Auburn Cemetery in 2010...read more about Caroline
