Dynamic Learning at Camp
Our unique Jewish education program at camp ensures that chanichim learn about Jewish tradition, history, and holidays through performance arts, active games, and crafts. So much has been happening at shiur throughout the summer!
Kochavim, Shorashim, and Nitzanim chanichim "traveled" to Israel, crafted personal Torah scrolls, and explored the days of creation through art, nature, song, and more.
Solelim, Tzeirim, Nevonim, Chalutzim, and Bogrim had a variety of shiur bechirot (electives) to choose from--performing in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," scrapbooking to themes of Jewish values, making tallit and learning about the halachot of tallit in arigim (tie dye), discussing "Is Harry Potter Jewish?", recording Parasha Podcasts, and more.
Each edah helped transform Ramah Nyack into "The Shuk at Night." At Machane Yehudah, the largest shuk in Jerusalem, after the vendors close their doors for the evening, the artist Solomon Souza creates beautiful graffiti portraits of prominent Jewish figures. Those portraits are displayed on the walls and closed doors of the shuk creating a spontaneous, magical museum. Here at Machane Ramah, we turned our gym into a shuk and displayed art of the walls just like Machane Yehudah! Click here to view photos of our own version of the shuk, featuring your children's artwork!
Our gym served as the backdrop for "The Shuk at Night."
Kol hakavod to our talented shiur staff, whose limitless creativity and passion for Judaism elevates Jewish learning to incredible heights!
