countdownA Tutim Start to Camp
The Word of the Summer is...
Tutim! Tutim means sweet (or strawberry), and being back on the migrash our first week was just that. Chanichim (campers) are getting to know their counselors, meeting new friends, reconnecting with old friends, and jumping into all of the incredible activities at camp.

Ma Nishma? Tutim!

Steve Max Entertains
We kicked off the July 4th holiday by welcoming the Master of Simon Sez Steve Max. His high-energy, camp-wide game of Simon Sez had the chanichim laughing while following his sometimes wacky instructions! Click here or on the image below to watch our video.

Remember that camp is closed on Monday, July 4th. Have a very happy and safe Independence Day!

ramahkorehNotes from the Office
Important Procedures for Early Pick Up
Your children are having so much fun here that we encourage you to keep them in camp until the regular dismissal time. We understand that there are extenuating circumstances that occasionally require you to pick up your child early. If so, please follow these procedures:
  • Your child may be picked up only by a parent or by an adult listed on our Pick-Up Authorization Form. The form can be found at the bottom of the Forms and Documents section on your Camp-In-Touch account
  • Please advise your child of the change in schedule and that he/she will be picked up at the camp office.
  • Please email us at travel@ramahnyack.org before noon on the day of the change and let us know what time you will be picking up your child. PLEASE DO NOT SEND NOTES OR INFORM BUS COUNSELORS OF TRANSPORTATION CHANGES. The office staff will notify your child's counselor and bus counselor of the revised dismissal plans.
  • Upon your arrival, please park in the Gould parking lot (across from the entrance to Nyack High School). Please obtain a visitor pass from our security staff and proceed to the camp office where you will meet your child and sign him or her out. Please do not take your child out of camp without signing out.
  • All early pick-ups at the office must take place BEFORE 3:30 p.m. After 3:30 p.m., pick-ups will be carpool pick-ups in the Gould parking lot at regular dismissal.

Direct Line to Nurses' Office
During regular camp hours, please contact the nurses by calling their direct line at (845) 358-4307. If that line is busy, please call the main office number at (845) 358-6240. After hours, please leave messages for our nurses on our voicemail.

Children will not be mentioned by name, in English or in Hebrew. If you prefer that images of your children not be used please notify the office by calling (845) 358-6240.

israeliOur Amazing Israeli Staff
Bringing Israel to Nyack
A powerful part of the Ramah experience is the presence of talented shlichim (Israeli staff members) who join our community each summer. These outstanding young Israelis, many of whom have just completed their service in the Israel Defense Forces, work in all areas of camp, bringing their endless ruach (spirit) and love of Eretz Yisrael to our campers each and every day.

Meet some of our amazing
shlichim in this video!
