RAMAH SUMMER SEASON STARTS TODAY!
More than 10,000 Campers and Staff to Participate in 2014

The 68th summer season for Ramah camps and Israel programs starts today with the opening of Camp Ramah Darom in Georgia. Over the next several weeks, all of our eight overnight camps, four day camps, and our Israel Seminar will begin.

RAMAH HAS GROWN BY 70% IN 20 YEARS!
This year, more than 10,000 campers and staff will participate, kicking off our 68th summer season at an all-time high
THE FUTURE FOR RAMAH IS GETTING EVEN BRIGHTER
In the last four years, we have seen tremendous growth in our short-term introductory "Taste of Ramah" overnight camping programs for 7-9 year olds
  • Among our 2,500 staff members, more than 1,500 university and graduate students will work as counselors, teachers, and specialists and will bring the magic of Ramah back to their university campuses and home communities.

  • More than 1,200 individuals will participate in one of the programs offered by Ramah Israel this year, including 250 participants on Ramah Israel and Poland Seminar this summer.

  • 51 students returned home just recently from Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim (TRY), our high school semester program in Israel. (The TRY "Happy" video has over 220K views on YouTube!) Hundreds more attended Ramah Israel Institute's trips for synagogue and school groups.

  • 390 campers will participate in the fifth season of Ramah Outdoor Adventure, Ramah's first specialty camp, located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This is approximately quadruple the number of campers that participated in the 2010 inaugural season.

With the help of many Federations, foundations, and the Foundation for Jewish Camp, and with the extraordinary efforts of our camp professional leadership, boards of directors, and individual donors, Ramah has been able to meet the financial needs of the overwhelming majority of families seeking a Ramah experience for their children. As we begin our 68th summer of intensive Jewish education within the fun, informal atmosphere of excellent summer camping, all of us at Ramah feel privileged to have this opportunity to contribute to the powerful, inspirational experiences that influence the lives of more than 10,000 participants in our various camps and programs.

Wishing everyone a safe, enjoyable and meaningful summer,
Mitch Cohen

The 2013 Ramah Israel Bike Ride and Hiking Trip raised over $380,000 from more than 2,800 donors to support Tikvah and all Ramah programs for campers with special needs. We are now gearing up for our 2015 Ride and Hike. Registration has been overwhelming and these trips are now full and waitlisting. To join thousands in support of Tikvah, please consider sponsoring a rider or hiker
