Deadline for Annual Meeting Resolutions Announced
|
Feb. 18, 2016, is the deadline for submitting resolutions for consideration at the 217th Annual Meeting of the Massachusetts Conference.
Resolutions may be related to procedure, courtesy, structure and organization, or issues of conviction.
The 217th Annual Meeting is being held June 17 - 18, 2016, at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. The Rev. Otis Moss III, Pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, will be the keynote speaker.

UCC Action Network calls for increased U.S. support for Syrian Refugees
|
On September 20th, Secretary of State John Kerry announced the U.S. will increase the number of global refugees it will accept annually from 70,000 to 100,000 by 2017. The U.S. has also donated $4.5 billion in urgently needed humanitarian aid.
The Justice & Peace Action Network of the UCC says that, while these are significant contributions, the gravity and scale of the crisis demands doing much more - and doing it with greater urgently.
