Tinkering with Mother Nature
This 2 hour PLC will incorporate Tinkering, STREAM, Music and Movement Participants will engage in activities that bring tinkering, STREAM frameworks, music and movement together in meaningful outdoor play.

Understanding and Implementing Developmental Screening-In this course you will learn why developmental screening is so important when working with young children. You will also learn what to look for when choosing a screening tool, ways to implement a screening program, how to involve parents in the screening process, and how to follow-up when screening results indicate children may need further evaluation. Supporting Transition to the 2016 MA Science & Technology/Engineering (STE) Standards
Massachusetts STE Standards & Practices Seminar Series FREE opportunity to share ideas and resources with representatives of area communities to support the integration of the MA STE standards & practices adopted January 2016 by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
We encourage parents, PreK-12 in school and out of school educators, administrators, guidance counselors and representatives of business, higher education, government, and community organizations to participate. Along with STEM educators, those involved in the arts, humanities, and fitness are also encouraged to attend and share their insights about how to integrate the Science & Technology/Engineering standards across the curriculum.
NOTE: Districts are encouraged to form a team of at least five (5) members.
Introducing STE Standards & Practices Across the Curriculum
The SE MA STEM Network, in conjunction with the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, is offering opportunities to school districts to share ideas and resources to support the integration of the STE standards and practices. Seminars will be held in different locations with the same agenda and will focus on introducing the eight practices and grade level standards, creating STE standard kits, and developing and sharing district STE standards integration plans.
