Parenting teenagers can be challenging.

If life with your teen isn't what you want, YOU can change it! Learn to create a positive, respectful, and fun-loving relationship with your teenager. They want your acceptance, approval and attention but tune out your correction, judgment and lectures.

The book Slow Parenting Teens (reviewed below) has many great ideas and suggestions which I will be incorporating into my spring Loving the Teen Years?!?! class.

Do you want a better relationship with your teenager? Take this class!

Warmly,

Stephanie

Book Recommendation: Slow Parenting Teens
Slow Parenting Teens: How to Create a Positive, Respectful, and Fun Relationship with Your Teenager, by Molly Wingate, M.A. and Marti Woodward, M.S.

When I heard Molly Wingate and Marti Woodward, authors of Slow Parenting Teens, discuss their book, I immediately wanted to share their ideas with you. It's a very practical book with specific, easy-to-follow suggestions for parents. Most helpful are the examples of dialog between parents and teens. The authors take a particular problem and show the "fast parenting" and the "slow parenting" way to respond. Specific exercises are offered so that you can hone your slow parenting skills.

I highly recommend Slow Parenting for Teens; it is available at the Boulder Bookstore.
