In honor of the Taste of Tribeca, this week's Special Feature highlights the newest spots to visit in one of my favorite 'hoods. Whether you're attending the event on the 16th or not, this is a great neighborhood to immerse yourself in with friends or on your own. This trendy enclave with a landscape dominated by cobblestone streets and luxurious buildings is a mecca for dining and culture.

The blossoms are in bloom, so visit to take a tour of the seasonal highlights of the garden.
May 16 Airbnb Brooklyn Half Marathon Brooklyn A sight-seeing race with an iconic finish. Over 25,000 runners start near the Brooklyn Museum and run past the Brooklyn Botanic Garden through Prospect Park. After a loop around the park, runners go down Ocean Parkway and end with a triumphant finish on the Coney Island boardwalk... a great place to watch the race and spend the day!
May 16 The Preakness
Although there will be many restaurants and bars celebrating the Preakness, my top pick is The Plaza Hotel. The Todd English Food Hall at The Plaza will be hosting viewing parties for each of the Triple Crown Racing Events. Cocktails and a special race inspired menu curated by Chef Todd English.
