This week I am going to highlight some local wineries that I can't wait to visit this autumn... all within 90 minutes from Manhattan. Visit my Special Feature to see my featured wineries.

Curtain Up...
October 11 Tony Bennett
I just heard Tony Bennett sing the other night and I'm still in awe at the ranges he is able to reach! At 87 he is still going strong. No one can sing "It Had to Be You" better. His one night performance at Radio City Music Hall will be a night to remember.
I always find it a challenge to pick my top performers at 54 Below. This week, Tony DeSare is my choice. This jazz singer, pianist, and songwriter is someone not to miss. I first heard Tony at Café Carlyle and have been awaiting his return. October 15 to 19 CMG Music Marathon Each fall, this 5 day marathon performs throughout the city. Discover new musicians (1,300 to be exact) in over 80 of our city's venues, nightclubs and theaters. October 15 to 26 Judy Collins Judy returns to Café Carlyle. Her performance usually sells out quickly, so reserve your seats now. October 16 to 27 San Francisco Ballet At the David Koch Theater. Having seen this ballet ensemble, I can assure you that you will enjoy the performances by the oldest professional ballet company. October 18 & 19 Darrell Hammond For all the Saturday Night Fans, you'll cheer seeing Daryl Hammond perform at Caroline's on Broadway.

Eat. Drink. End Hunger. Now in its 6th year, the festival brings together culinary icons and celebrity chefs (Look for names like Rachael Ray, David Bouley, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Mario Batali). Check out the event calendar for tickets... as a NY Jets fan, I want to get tickets to the October 19th event: Jets + Chefs: The Ultimate Tailgate. 100% of the net proceeds for all of the events benefit the Food Bank For New York City.
Through October 25 Madison Square Eats
The month-long market ends on the 25th, so check out the 28 vendors. My picks include Momofuku Milk Bar, Roberta's, and SD26.
