This week, along with the upcoming week's special happenings, I've put together my list of Mother's Day brunch spots in the city.  Make your reservations early!  Whether you're looking for something casual or more upscale... if ambiance is your hot button... or you're looking for a place that offers a special cocktail... my selections will give you the flexibility to choose the best spot for you and your mom to celebrate her.

On display at Sotheby's, features over 30 works in this selling exhibition.

Housed in Chelsea's Gallery district, Bottino will feature a prix fixe menu for $35... their offering of White Peach Bellinis got my attention!  Fine Tuscan cooking in a lovely garden and patio setting.

 

The Park

118 10th Avenue (17th & 18th St) 

American traditional cuisine with a vast dining room and an organic nature infusion offers a welcome oasis for your Sunday brunch.

Gemma

The Bowery Hotel - 335 Bowery (at E 3rd St)     
Cozy Italian cuisine with sidewalk dining and prime people watching, adjacent to the chic Bowery Hotel.    
 

  

L'Apicio

It's an easy vibe at this sleek restaurant which opened last fall. The brunch menu features signature cocktails and pastries to celebrate the day.

They will be serving Mommy Mojitos, along with French-inspired American dishes.

 

 

Friend of a Farmer

This neighborhood favorite always has a line... and for good reason... home style comfort dishes are on the menu that will remind you of Mom's cooking.

The sharing menu here is perfect for a large family, set in a sophisticated atmosphere that will impress Mom.

This red sauce trattoria salutes moms all day long with complimentary brunch and cocktails on Mother's Day.

The buzzworthy chef Geoffrey Zakarian's midtown spot offers classic bistro dining with staple brunch dishes on the menu.

As one of the first restaurants in Manhattan to feature communal tables, this sleek space offers an ideal setting for large families.

Arlington Club

With one of the most diverse and comprehensive brunch menus I have come across featuring sushi and steak alongside traditional items, this grand steakhouse will have something for you and mom.

24 East 81st Street (at Madison Ave)

Signature cocktails such as the Breakfast Martini (need I say more?) and hearty dishes round out the menu at the restaurant the chef calls "comfort food for millionaires."       

 

UPPER WEST SIDE 

 

Cafe Luxembourg

200 West 70th Street (at Amsterdam Ave) 

This neighborhood bistro is offering a special Mother's Day Brunch Menu featuring fruits de mer and freshly made pastries.

Celebrating "festa della mamma," this Southern Italian restaurant has a special Mother's Day menu.
