Dear Member,

How do I know when it's Spring?

Baseball season starts... check.

I can shed my boots for the season... check.

I can see the flowers beginning to bloom... check.

The Tribeca Film Festival is here... check!

With the Tribeca Film Festival right around the corner, I've decided to focus on one of my favorite things, movies... You may wonder 'why so early?'  Well, I have missed out on some of my movie must-sees in the past because I didn't give myself ample time to research, create my pick list, and sync with my calendar!  Get a jump start on your picks this year, since tickets go on sale for the general public on the 15th of this month.

Each week, look forward to my personal snapshot of recommendations to get you through a New York minute, day, night, or weekend. My weekly updates will take you from this Friday to the next!

Enjoy!

Sincerely,

Below are top events going on in the next week... many focused on something near and dear to my heart - giving back!

A shopping event with a good cause... Saks Fifth Avenue and SAME SKY Jewelry come together for a shopping event and cocktail reception. SAME SKY is a jewelry company that provides employment to HIV-positive women in Africa struggling to lift themselves out of poverty.

April 7  A Night with Daniel
Daniel Boulud clelebrates his 20th anniversary by donating the proceeds of this  event to Citymeals on Wheels... a perfect evening of cocktails, dinner, and a silent and live auction!

The 36th season... it's an event I've always enjoyed attending. The proceeds fund the artistic programs for theaters. Presenters such as Sally Field, Blythe Danner, and Marisa Tomei will certainly add star power to this event. Cocktails, dinner, and blues singer, Jomama Jones.

The worlds of fashion, music, and art host a party at Sony Wonder Technology Lab. A wonderful fundraising event... during Autism Awareness Month!

April 9  Kevin Eubanks

With all the buzz about the Late Night shows lately, I'm going to get tickets to hear Jay Leno's former band leader, Kevin Eubanks, perform at Birdland.

April 9  Authors in Kind
For all you literary buffs... emcee Linda Fairstein, supporter of God's Love We Deliver's 10th annual luncheon. Meet acclaimed author, Sandra Brown, and socialize with restauranteur Danny Meyer during a reception, discussion, and book signing.
