Saint Dominic Boys Soccer Update
|
SDS Boys varsity soccer is playing great with a record at 3-1-1 and is currently in 4th place (out of 11 teams).
The Blue Jay Boys finished last week with a tie and a win.
The boys played outstanding soccer against a very tough St. Rose of Lima team and held a 1-0 lead and dominated play for most of the game. Matt Kirkpatrick scored the lone goal for the Blue Jays. A very late goal by St. Rose of Lima was the difference. Sean Farrell played outstanding all game in goal, turning away shot after shot. Matt Fondonella, Matt Dicello, and Joe Costello were very strong defensively all game long while Alec Schwartz and Nicolo Secul had strong games at the mid-field. Stephen Albanese and Lucas Ward played well at striker and mid-field respectively when they were called on.
The boys closed out the week with a 6-1 victory over St. Anslem. All the boys played very good soccer all game long with many players registering goals. David Nase scored his first of the season. Christian D'Alterio, Matt Moffa, Matt McKeon, Bryce Vitiello, and Jeffery Frankenberg all saw significant action and had great efforts in the win.
Come out and support the Blue Jay Boys Soccer Team!
