Yarn Spotlight
Cheryl was wearing a great looking cowl throughout the sale that she "created"....she used KissKiss and Tara Tweed to create this adorable, fun, warm yet lightweight cowl!  Why not feature KissKiss* this week? It is Va-va-voom! This totally textured super-bulky ladder yarn features wild boucl fringe. Multicolor shades from tonal neutrals to sizzling brights, make Kiss Kiss the ultimate scarf and trim yarn this season.
*By the way, this yarn has been reduced and well worth the price!
Pattern of the Week
The cashier that helped all weekend was none other than Jeffrey CAHN!  He has been begging for this hat and I just started it....it uses four colors of Cima in this great looking hat!  Hip for any age, the yarn is scrumptious and the hat is fun to make....after his hard work, he deserves it!

Phew!  That was our reaction to the SuperBallO'Yarn Sale!  It was great to see so many of you and to know that you have sufficiently replenished your stash!
It really makes us apprectiate our customers and the prep work that goes into the sale.  We apologize for the wait time at the register, but we did notice that a lot of you were exchanging "trade" secrets, patterns and ideas!  Nothing better than a gathering of "yarnies" in one room!  Some of the yarns that were drastically reduced will remain on sale indicated by a white tag with a "new" price....we have to make room for the great yarns that will be arriving very soon!!
Oh those unfinished things....

Do you have any U.F.O's laying around or commonly known in the craft world as UnFinished
Objects?  Do you intend to finish them but unsure where to start?  Do you have finishing phobia?  Fear no more!

Take a finishing class on Saturday, February 2nd at  11:00 a.m.!  This is the answer to your problems!  Cheryl will have you finishing so many projects you'll wonder what the big deal was....REALLY!  Give us a call to register! 908-301-0053.
Book of the Week (and a signing!)

Are you expecting a baby, do you know some who is,  are looking for a shower gift or a new baby gift?  If so this week's featured book is perfect for you. What to Knit When You're expecting, By Nikki Van De Caris a collection of 30 patterns that she created to keep herself busy during the months before the birth of her daughter.

The book is divided into three sections. The patterns in the first trimester section are larger scale projects (blanket, sleeping bag); the second trimester features items specific to a boy or a girl (this is when the mum-to-be may find out her child's sex). I loved the little tutu and the gathered pinafore dress. In addition, the little toggle jacket, which the author says made her stepdaughter look like a wood-elf! All clothes come in sizes from newborn-12 months. The third trimester focusses on small last-minute knits - cute cushions, hats etc.

The designs are clever and interesting, and definitely keep you engaged, but none are too complicated: many of them are suitable for beginners, and an intermediate knitter should be able to tackle them all easily. Honestly, my biggest issue with this book is deciding what to knit next! If you're looking for wonderful patterns for baby garments, look no further. This would also make a splendid gift for any knitter in your life.

Stop in this week and pick up your copy of What to Knit When You're Expecting at 25% off the cover price. Happy Knitting!

And to add to the excitement of this great book, Nikki Van De Car will be at Knit-a-Bit signing this book on Sunday, February 3 from 2:00 - 3:00!  This makes a great shower gift!

Focus, Focus!

So now we really need to count.....the accountant is checking on us at weeks end!  We will be open this week but we must focus on counting what we have post sale.  We are available to help you with whatever you need, but don't be surprised if you see a few of us deep in thought and numbers!

The aftermath of the sale is quite obvious if you were to walk in to Knit-a-Bit right now....we will be doing our best to pull it together and restocking the shelves with new arrivals!

Noni Designs has sent us new patterns...the bag designs are phenomenal! Berroco will be sending us the newest yarns in the next week or so and more items will be arriving!  We are REALLY excited about the impending arrival of the Noni Lipstick Bag kits!  Keep your eye on the newsletter for the announcement of their arrival!

Pam will be knitting on Monday evening from 8:00 - 10:00 and is anxious to see a lot of you!  She loves keeping connected with all of you while knitting!
