Yarn Spotlight!
Acadia is a yummy blend of silk, merino and alpaca with a silk slub. It works up as a heavy dk to light worsted yarn on size 4-6 needles.  It's 145 yards and the pattern possibilities are numerous!  Check out this week's yarn spotlight!
Pattern of the Week!

The Cedar Leaf Shawlette is an ideal opportunity to knit a shawl without too much intricate detail.  It is a basic stockinette stitch and short rows.  It is then embellished with a simple, elegant leaf pattern.  It is the type of garment that can be worn over your shoulders or wrapped as a scarf.  Either way, an added asset to your wardrobe!

Gadget of the Week

Don't fret over stitches slipping off your needles with this handy gadget.  These point protectors will keep the stitches right where they belong; on your needles!  A great gadget to have on hand to calm your nerves when you put your project down!

Let's talk about the sale; It's BIG, it's MONUMENTAL, it's GRAND, it's EPIC.  Everything in the store will be on sale...yes, everything.  Discounts will range from 20-70 percent off the regular price.  Prices and discounts will be "revealed" on the sale days.  Some yarns we will be bringing back and some may not....just because we are putting a particular yarn on sale, doesn't necessarily mean that it will be gone forever.

Some of the yarns may have a variety of dye lots and that may determine the discount taken or we may just decide to reduce the price because we want to bring in something similar...whatever it is, our advice to you; TAKE ADVANTAGE of these sale prices.

The hours of the sale will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for Saturday and
10:00 a.m.  - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday
Hot off the Presses!

The newest edition of Knitscene Magazine has arrived!  We are particularly fond of any of the magazines that Interweave produces...mostly because the patterns are realistic and suitable for any and all age groups.  The patterns are well written and the articles always give valuable lessons!  Come in and get it while it's here!  This is one magazine that flies off the shelves!
Pass it on...

We love when kids want to do what they see us doing (well, not everything!) and why shouldn't they learn to  knit?  We have a Kid's Class starting on January 31st from 4:30 - 6:00.  We would love to have a group of kids here to learn "our" craft.  Give us a call if you have a young person in your house that would like to learn to knit!
F.O.'s Gallery!

Jane did this adorable Little Willow  sweater using our special color!  This was made using Lorna's Worsted in Tibatink!  We love the finished product and we have a feeling that granddaughter Raegan will too!

This is the Pennywood Shawl that have on the blocking blocks...I used Misti Alpaca Handpaint Sock yarn and Adele from Tahki Stacy Charles.

Speaking of Finished Objects....

Do you have any U.F.O's laying around or commonly known in the craft world as UnFinished
Objects?  Do you intend to finish them but unsure where to start?  Do you have finishing phobia?  Fear no more!

Take a finishing class on Saturday, February 2nd at  11:00 a.m.!  This is the answer to your problems!  Cheryl will have you finishing so many projects you'll wonder what the big deal was....REALLY!  Give us a call to register! 908-301-0053.
Author Visit!! Book Signing!

My father tends to like power outages. Not because he likes to live as they did on "Little House on the Prairie" but because he's a pediatrician and he knows that 9 months later, there could be a baby boom.  That being said, with the outages from Hurricane Sandy, the end of June and July we could have a population boom in our area!

We have just the book for the expectant knitters....whether they are the mom to be or the grandparent, aunt or cousin to be!  What to Knit When you are Expecting is filled with adorable patterns modeled by very cute babies! Nikki Van De Car will be at Knit-a-Bit on Sunday, February 3 at 2:00 to sign these awesome books!  Come by and see what we mean about the cute factor!!
