Knit a Bit LLC NewsletterSunday, December 23, 2012

T'was the week of Christmas and all through the store, a few creatures were stirring, knitting a row, yelling, "just one more!"

Cast ons and bind offs til midnight we hear.....hand knit gifts wrapped under the tree, with determination, we have no fear!

Gifts to be opened with exclamation and glee! Cowls, scarves, sweaters and such, only to hear, "next year, make one for me!"

Yarn, ribbons and boxes galore, with gift certificates received, increase your yarn stash with more!

We hope to see you with new projects to start in 20- thirteen, and we will be more than happy to explain what your pattern really means!

From Knit-a-Bit to all of you, we wish you a happy holiday season for now and the whole year through!

Eleanor finished this beautiful Emma Entrelac Scarf using Luna, Crystal and Mini Mochi.  The recipient is incredibly lucky and Eleanor, you should be very proud of yourself!  Way to go!

On our needles....

Harriet is conquering the Le Cirque Baby Afghan from Nicky Epstein's KNITTING IN CIRCLES book....she is using the 220 Superwash from Cascade and we are anxious to see the end results!

I have been diligently working on the Pennywood Shawl.  I went out on a limb and chose the Misti Alpaca Handpaint Sock Yarn which was fine, but then I picked Adele from Tahki Stacy Charles and that is enhanced with sequins!  It is looking pretty good if I do say so myself but I have come to appreciate the value of using a lifeline!

Football Season is winding down....

As we learn who will be playing in the XLVII Super Bowl, we will be making preparations at Knit-a-Bit too....watch the newsletter for more details!

We will be closed Christmas Day but will be open on New Year's Day from 11:00 - 4:00...come by, say hi, relax and knit and crochet for the day!  Kick off the year with a new project!

Monday night knitting will resume in the New Year and we will be thrilled to hear all about your holidays!

Speaking of resuming, the newsletter will return the first Sunday in 2013!

Happy holidays to each and everyone of you and as Harriet would say, "we'll see you next year!"
