Knit a Bit LLC NewsletterSunday, November 4, 2012

We hope that this newsletter finds all of our Knit-a-Bit family and friends safe and warm.  The lack of power, internet, phone and heat has been disruptive to say the least.  We have made an effort to remain in contact with so many of you as best we can and we appreciate the efforts made to check on us.

We are thrilled and somewhat relieved to be able to reopen on Tuesday at 10:00.  Classes will resume and life as we know it at Knit-a-Bit will return to normal, whatever that is!  Just come by to say hello, get a hug, have a cup of coffee and even buy something to work on!  We will be very excited to see you.

Big Birthdays approaching....

Knit-a-Bit will be celebrating 10 years the first week of December and next week's newsletter will be an "official" invitation to all of the special events that we will be hosting! Stay tuned!!!

Hurricane Projects....

A lot of knitting and crocheting has been done by candlelight and flashlights....Harriet finished the Twisted Cowl and I am almost finished with the Ella Textured Cowl.  Cowls are all the rage and keep you warm without being obtrusive...as tested in the unheated households!
Giving back....

The wrath of Sandy affected much of N.J.  and we want to help with those that may be facing more obstacles than us....Newark Convenant House is housing families from Atlantic City and is in need of diapers and baby blankets.  We would like to appeal to our Knit-a-Bit family to consider donating these items.  We will collect them through the weekend and will deliver them next week.
Thank you......

We want to  thank you for your patience, concern and support by having a sale....LIGHTS OFF, LIGHTS ON! 20% OFF OF EVERYTHING in the store through next Sunday, 11/10.

Of course, Addi and Signature needles are not included and rewards may not be used.

Pam will NOT be knitting this Monday,,,,we hope to resume our Monday night knitting in the next week or so.

Thank you again for everything...disasters tend to prove how wonderful our community can be and Harriet and I were award of this before Sandy blew through.  We can't begin to express our gratitude to our Knit-a-Bit family for checking on us and keeping us up to date on the goings on around.   We both are looking forward to being back in our "happy place" and being able to surround ourselves with the community that we can call friends.....
