Dear Friend,
As a minister of the gospel, I am going to veer this first week of January from my usual horse ministry newsletter format. Why? I feel it is important to speak a Word of Victory over you at the beginning of this new year. Perhaps no one has ever spoken a word of victory over you. If that is the case, then I am honored to be the first. For the past several nights, I have sensed the Holy Spirit reminding me that God's promises are new each and every morning. And each and every day is a fresh new start for God's children. Perhaps you've messed up some things in your life, made some mistakes along the way, experienced some failures, or have some regrets. Who hasn't? I remind you that God knows every single thing about each and every one of us. But here's the amazing thing - what He knows about us has not changed how He loves us, nor has it changed the destiny He has planned for us! God loves you and me with an everlasting love. His love is unconditional. And His promises are true. Friend, this is a brand new year, and if you are in Christ Jesus, then you are brand new, too. If you have faith to believe, then the following Word is for you!
No matter what has transpired in your life last year, or even in past years, whether it was good, bad, or ugly, the Word of God says that you are not to consider it anymore (see scripture at beginning of newsletter). In other words, get past it, and go beyond it. You are to be about your Heavenly Father's business in this new year. And there is much work to do!
And there is more...
God would say to you, forget the former things. He has placed His hand upon your life, and His purpose is still alive and well in you! Not one experience of your life has been a waste. Rather, your faith is being strengthened, and you are learning to trust in God's sovereign power to protect you in spite of circumstances. When you face mountains in your life, and you will, the Lord has given you the power to rise up and speak to the mountains. Learn to exercise that power in this new year as never before, and in addition, be willing to pray more, especially for others. And don't forget to praise God freely and often. He inhabits the praise of His people!
Remember, you are an army of One, and through the name of Jesus, you have power to put the enemy to flight! Always guard your heart, choose your words wisely, and walk boldly in faith. Don't expect unbelievers to champion your cause. God has hidden His treasure in you! Forget yesterday, and press forward. Your best years are not behind you - they are straight ahead of you, so run your race to win! In this new year, dare to believe God for the unbelievable. Why? You have not seen your greatest miracle yet. And dare to do exploits in the name of the Lord. He is your strength! And finally, dare to believe that God is going to do amazing and wonderful things in and through you in 2016. This is your year!
Riding With Faith,
Susan Klaudt
Happy New Year!
Kim and I are celebrating 37 years of full-time
ministry, and 35 years of marriage in 2016.
Wow, time flies when you're having fun!
This is our very first "selfie pic" taken
together as we ring in another new year.

to smile and try to act like you're looking
at people, and not the cell phone!)
UPDATE ON SAMSON
One of Samson's best friends is Lil' Bit, an older miniature horse we rescued 4 years ago. Ironically,
Lil' Bit came to us with RAO (respiratory airway obstruction) after being left on his own in an
overgrown and abandoned field. Each day
that Samson is being quarantined from his pasture,
Lil Bit makes sure he has a buddy to keep him
company - a buddy that understands, and will play
in the puddles with him. That's what friends are for!
Samson is continuing to make great progress. His labored breathing is all but gone, only showing up slightly now on occasion. Praise God! I'm slowly adding back regular orchard grass hay to the Standlee timothy hay that I put him on in October at the start of this journey. So far, so good. You might recall from updates over the past couple of months that I also put Sam on extra vitamins and probiotics to support his immune system during this time. I have since pulled him off one product that was very high in Omega 3 fatty acids after it caused abnormal swelling in the sheath area. After taking him off the product, the swelling went down in less than 24 hours, and has not returned.
All in all, it has been quite an experience doctoring my horse back to health. Of course, having owned horses for many decades now, it's not my first rodeo. It was only a few short years ago that I retired my other western pleasure horse (Montana) after a prolonged health problem. You can read about it on Montana's (aka AQHA Foolin' The Ladies) page on my website. I'm sure I've earned an M.D. after my name by now. Just call me Dr. Doolittle! This time, I have to confess, as stressful as it has been at times, I've been able to watch first-hand how God brings about new healing each day.
As I've watched with my own eyes how God is growing brand new skin on Samson's injured leg, I realize that if He had done an immediate healing in answer to my prayer, I would have missed an even greater miracle - the miracle of witnessing His re-creative power first-hand. Speaking of power, the two pictures below are pretty powerful examples of what I'm talking about. The first picture was taken in December. The second picture was taken the first of this month, in January. You can literally see the creation of new skin filling in the deep cut! At this rate, Sam should be ready to go back to work soon. And I can hardly wait!

Be sure to click the video above for our newest "just for fun" YouTube Video with my equine ministry partner, Samson (pics and video from earlier this year). This video features the amazing vocals of my dear friend and minister, Ann Nicholson. Years ago, and before giving her life to Christ, Ann was a back-up vocalist for many secular artists, including Joe Cocker, and Leon Russell. In 2014, Ann recorded Leon's hit song, "A Song For You", especially for my birthday. Her amazing and soulful rendition of this song will bless you!
Want to take a ride on a champion western pleasure horse? Now, you can - thanks to Samson, and a GoPro Camera that puts you right in the saddle with me! Don't forget to check out my grandson, Zach, making a cameo appearance in the video. What a great sport he was to let Nana chase him around the arena that day! And special thanks once again to Tom and Ann Nicholson for their amazing musical talent. Together, they produced this video song titled "The Stranger" performed by the Praise Team, Church Alive, Cleveland, TN, and featured on the CD titled "Combustible Praise". Oh yeah, it also features the best guitarist in the world, my husband, Kim Klaudt, doing what he does best - playing that sanctified blues! You can check him out on YouTube, too!
